Briefly:
1) You start with the introduction mission, which I believe will only ever use the 3 base companies. On your second play-through you can skip it.
I do not believe this affects score in any way, I don't think Vet and Strength carry over
You can now select which of the 4 companies you want.
2) Then each company has one fixed mission that they MUST do.
Eisenborn Ridge - Usually DOG, which is hold a defensive position
Bastogne - Usually BAKER, sometimes FOX, take a road and hold against counterattack to allow ambulances to evacuate wounded
March Usually ABLE, sometimes FOX, which is a dynamic mission.
3) You then have free play with choice of what companies for what mission
4) Then all 3 companies team up for the final assault on the Siegfried line, which is I believe entirely cosmetic
Now, the main meat of the Campaign is (3)
This consists of some maps that always have the same missions, though secondary objectives, enemy strength and bonus rewards will be different
The dynamic ones shuffle around between the maps, I don't have a game going right now so these are all from the save file so may not be 100% correct. We have talked about doing a strat guide at some point.
Railsplitters - Destroy 5 Command Trucks, medals based on how quick you do it
Armoured Assault - Medals based on how many VP you have left at the end, you also cause enemy VP to drop by killing units with vehicles
Tank Grab - Abandoned vehicles litter the map, recrew them. Only kills by vehicles reduce the ticker. Medals based on how quick you win
Hardpoint - Straight reduce VP I think, medals based on how many VP you have left at the end
Total Dominiation - Ticker only goes down when someone has all three VP, medals based on how many VP you have left at the end
Watchtower - VP points are replaced by watchtowers, VP ticker drains continuously and is replenished by taking supply drops. You have to beat the Germans to the drops. Medals based on how many VP you have left at the end
Preservation I believe this is where you get no MP income except in occasional boosts, you can accelerate how often they happen by killing German officers.

Yeah, people have this mental image of Osttruppen being joke garbage units, which to be fair at release they were and their sole redeeming feature was being cheap at 120 MP
Then they got put to 200MP and everyone stopped using them because they were not worth that
Then they got buffed and became worthwhile again, but they are uncommon enough that people haven't noticed |
