I particularly love the solution to heavy call in meta. Increased price, yet reduced when teck unlocked, this would really promote teching while still keeping heavies attractive.
Maybe a US short range mortar is OK, but I dont believe OKW should have a mortar. OKW do not have many tools to deal indirect damage, this is intentional because they deal heavy direct damage (eg Obers).
Thier field gun is also quite good, all be it in a less mobile way than a normal mortar. |
Holy replies batman. |
I really like the SturmTiger.
I think it is tempting but dangerous to compare the panther with sturmtiger . Yes they come from the same tier and have a similar fuel cost, but that is where the similarities end.
The panther will compliment a wide array of builds and strategies, where as the SturmTiger, imo works best with an army built around it.
Its easy to make a defensive stronghold with OKW. But tricky to hold fringe sectors on a map. A sturmtiger can work beautifully with this by having a couple rakketens in buildings protected by your flak truck andbinfantry as a fall back point for the tank to reload, helping to make up for the lack of a panther.
You gain the ability to dish out very heavy damage to places your main force might struggle to reach, while also forcing the engagement to somewhere you have chosen, thats if your opponent wants to attempt to take it out.
Only the stuka can provide this kind of indirect fire, but is not as lethal and comes in tier 3. Stiger allows u to go medics + flak.
Side note, I really like it with special forces doctrine, flare can spot for it and command panther increases its sight and also movement which is quite helpful. |
+1 ferwiner
That sounds in the right direction. Using a squad with an LMG should feel very different to a normal squad.
Having a bit more set up time would make it feel like more of a fire support weapon which it is, and would make a squad which is moving a lot perform better without one.
It would also better reward an opponent who flanks and or uses names against them by forcing the squad to keep repositioning. |
Can I have a job? |
Because when you field a Luchs, you could field a P4.

Volk nades are way too powerful currently. Good job. |
I just hate the Flak Truck because you can't do anything to it unless you blind-fire or have a medium tank or stronger, because it can see and shoot recon units at their max range, making you unable to spot it for AT gun snipes.
If there are any buildings near by (okw like to hide trucks around corners..), jump troops in which obviously provides good vision, the flak truck is pretty rubbish at killing garrisoned troops. Plenty of time to get a couple ATG or whatever on it. |
Ive been wondering about the ML20 vs OKW, but for me it fires quite slowly and still isnt the most accurate.
As for B4, I prefer to vet it with direct shot. Dont try to use direct shot as a reactive ability, because it turns too slow and will not work. You need to position it where you expect armour, obviously with line of sight and wait for the right moment, it will fire quickly when used like this, and usually hits. Once you have vet you can just use the other ability.

Trenches themselfs can be reasonably powerful, you just have to be prepared to put a lot of micro into rebuilding them often and moving your squads about.
Pak43 seems soo short range now, esspecially with low rotation and narrow firing arc. So situational now.
