It's worth a test on the Beta server at the very least to see if it does impact the game. -Cause i don't need a flamebarrage early on, since the normal barrage is fine. -If you go Stuka you are going to need those shrecks to fend of medium armor, so you won't spend ammo on it. NOTHING changes. -Your suggestion, simple is buffing the Stuka. -Right now, theres a reason it's locked down in vet4. Cause it doesn't share cooldown with the normal barrage. Try harder next time. Only when you cant afford a jp4 or panther and your volks are getting overrun by (medium) tanks I would ever consider getting it. As easy as it is to say, herpa derpa no skill #esports, it isn't true. The pro players win more games than they lose so skill still plays a huge part in the game You can play around RNG on Hearthstone, even if the last expansion added LOTS of huge RNG cards with a huge varied of results (all the mechs and the unstable portal). Still, it's not quite comparable when we are talking about a CARD game when it's on itself an RNG game (topdecking). People need to understand the difference between: -Clumping of units (1) -Flame crits -Explosive crits (2) -Vehicle crits (abandoned, engine damage, heavy engine damage) With: -Indirect fire (this could be tweak with 1 and 2) -Jackson (to pen or not to pen) - Black or white, 240 or 0 dmg. -Basically tank combat And finally: -Plane crashes In: COH2 Balance

Therefore, Rifles with Zooks can't level up since they don't have targets to constantly shoot at and deal damage to. Just like saying PTRS are not as bad, if there was only light vehicles/Stugs in play. For their actual performance, zooks shouldn't require tech at least. Anyhow RNG is indeed cruel. I had a game the other night where a katy fired and killed my stuka becuase 4 of the missles hit in a tight group, same thing happened to a vet 3 full hp ober squad. in an earlier game my katy fired on a mass of axis infantry..killed 3-4 models no wipes, 25% dmg to a stuka....darn you RNG darn youuuuu. yet it makes things true to combat..unpredictable to a certain margin. Short range blobs have a different focus than long range blobs, since it's much easier to wipe an enemy caught up in your max DPS zone than one farther away. You might make more people retreat with a long range blob, but you will wipe a lot more units with a close range one. Regardless the fact that SMG's and Assault Rifles don't do well at medium range is quite silly, all DPS should be toned down but made more uniform across weapon profiles. If you wipe units with CQC units that's a micro mistake from your opponent, since you can't wipe on retreat a squad which is 30m away with a last volley. LMG are good cause the unit wielding it has a estable DPS across all ranges. Therefore making wipes easier since you have less to react faster. SMGs do well at CQC and ARs are mainly generalist. It's just a matter of learning at what distance you should engage each unit. I feel, while they don't die as quickly as REs, they can still get insta-wiped by blobberinos in 2 seconds. DPS could drop down a bit and instead be cheaper, both to call in and reinforce.
