Nobody will use them even for 0 munitions... Too much efforts for random sight. Don't really worth it. And what about "Hit the dirt" for Vet 1? Would be nice, also.
At 0 munition and a slightly faster placement they would be OP IMO.
The value of scouting and knowing the location of your enemy should never be overestimated it. Bad players never use it, good players makes use of it, great players ABUSE it. This applies to all games, from RTS to FPS.
PD: Hit the dirt atm is bad, i don't think you want it. I'll rather have trip wire than HTD.

While the thread is about OKW command PV i'll make an analysis of the whole commander.
-Radio silence: a cute ability i'll say which might work depending on the opponent. Not too expensive, so it's not bad rather than niche.
-Flares: best recon in the game.
-Infiltration nades: IMO this is a reason why it not necessary to get Flak HQ to get Obers. It's not a replacement but greatly boost AI performance for 15muni.
-Vampir: reason why you want to get Obers
Now getting into the command PV.
I'll say it arrives 1/2 CP too early for it's performance. What makes it really good at 1v1/2v2 is IMO the overperforming mark vehicle (50% damage is too strong for cost).
IMO auras in general should affect allied teammates but with a reduced effect (50%).
@Smith I think that the command PV having aura which scales it's actually good. What should be tweak instead is raw performance of the tank itself (for example: increase reload time or increase cost) if it's gonna remain to have strong based aura and skills.
@Zarok47 while the game is balanced around 1v1/2v2 at most, take in mind there are changes made to improve 3v3/4v4. I don't think we saw too many Elephants/JT on 1v1 but nevertheless those units were nerfed to improved teamgames.

As people had said before: there are certain factions/strats/units on certain maps that are problematic, but in general it's fine.

First of all, this means combining some of the abilities into a single one, leaving space for other options or including some of the things mention into a single slot.
-Add barbwire fields
-Add bunkers
-Increase repair speed, construction, etc.
-Include AT mines
-Easy fix which i wouldn't like: add KV1/KV2 tank.
Example:
Heavy fortifications - Sturmp CE are now able to build tank traps, trenches/barbwire fields and emplacement/bunkers.
PMD -6 mine package - CE and Conscripts can lay out either AI or AT mines.

I am about rank 350 as OKW (Level 13) and about 750 as Ost (Level 11 - 13) and I played them all...

If you are around 350, you can't really complain. Yeah, it's just way too much real skill difference, but you should expect to face regularly people who are 200 ranks above or below you. 400 ranks difference when the MM has been searching for a while isn't weird. |
For all people complaining.
-Set a macro to reset the search every 1/2 minutes if you care about having "fair matches". Wait half an hour to get a match.
-When searching random, remember you are also a random.
-Reminder that automatch is not competitive/ranked for most people.
Vent all you want here, but unless they specifically mention they will implement something (and be prepared to wait 2 years for it), nothing is gonna change at this point. |
1-It has been mentioned (IIRC) since release. They made loadouts instead.
2-Risk, reward, adapt. You shouldn't had access to the best options all the time. There's a reason map vetoes exist, or you can always go for custom games if you want specific choices.
3-I agree bulletins shouldn't show up, but the impact is so niche that i wouldn't mind showing them up. |
