It has one MG with nearly same DPS as all 3 MGs of Panzer4 (upgraded). That is ok? Because the main gun performance is not good and instead of relying on cheesy random wipes, you get constant AI boost which can be nullified by vet, cover and retreat bonuses. In: COH2 Gameplay |

snip The radio silence is not strange. E3 has lost it's importance as many companies either decided to skip (Sony) or prefer to make their own private events in order to release bigger news. If you don't have anything concrete and good to show up, there's no point in releasing a half baked trailer with alpha gameplay on it. E3 has been transformed in CGI vids in galore. The best part of the E3 in the last years had been the sketches from Devolver Digital. Even if AoE4 was ahead of schedule (which would be great news), it's more than probable that it will be put on hold till they release both definitive editions. In: Lobby |

I'm not talking about the fix made by the community patches, i'm referring as to how Relic put a conditional RNG wise 6 man LMG42 squad. And TBH, the difference between 6 moodel squads or 5 model squad is minimal. Relic designed Rifles to be able to double wield 1919 and even worst, RET. If we didn't see as much RET with them, is because they even gave the 1919 a free suppression ability when equipped on Rifles. Just so we don't go off: -I agree with the fact that high dps LMG is problematic on high model count. -I don't necessarily agree that the current "complex" situation is a problem or there been better/easier solutions. -My initial point was: let's not bring "Relic design" when they have many contradictory decisions done in the past, way before community influence. What about double Osstruppen with random spawning LMG42 and vet? That was fully intentional on Relic's part as they already have designed commanders with random vet spawning and weapon drop in the past.
If it's just for the look, it's not worth the effort to do so. No one is gonna put such amount of effort to code and test weapon profiles for a single unit, if it's only an aesthetic change. You would have to make specific profiles for all those variations and we are not even talking about how oddly SMG and LMG would behave together. In: COH2 Balance |

I don't think you remember well what vcoh2 means. Original design means, the only useful things are the ones which are broken OP and cheesy. You live and die by the meta, cause any deviation is insta 90% lose compare to todays meta, because faction can actually hold on it's own with non doctrinal stuff. "Now it is everything goes, the engagement pace has picked up, too much arty, too much camping, more standardised meta to follow." Games were defined in the first 7 mins by either FHT (stupid vet2) or T70 (which had crush). Too much arty? What about turbomortar and precision strike on every single soviet piece. 120mm nuking your squads every 60s if you didn't move them? B4 nuking tanks with pinpoint accuracy? Did you play with old Joint Operations on 2v2+? You could fire LefH nonstop because the cooldown would refresh after it ended shooting up after vet2. Camping is playing with/against Maxim spam. Having every freaking 2v2+ been Guard Motor/ISU152 vs Joint Operation/Elephant/I win pinning run. After they somehow fixed vCoH2 factions, they broke the game again with WFA. I always found it funny that some of the people who complained about UKF simcity, weren't as vehement with OKW when 2v2+ was camping around forward medic HQ, ISG, using fortifications MG34 + pak43 into KT. Sure this create balancing issues if you fall behind in tiering, but its make unit perservation fun, makes mastering a faction fun.
