I saw the game with StephennJF which was pretty good HT use.
With the new patch the HT are good vs shocks/penals (no guards) on close quarter maps, same with the tiger. Since many soviet players dont tech to T3/T4 and rely on call-in tanks, all you need against that is T1 + HT and save fuel for two tigers late game to deal with IS2/T85/KV8.
Instead of using gren spam in every game, more players should give Mechanised doc a try.

Thread: Finally some balance, what to do now?13 Mar 2014, 03:19 AM
The fact is that this kind of comments are doing people to refuse buying this game. Well attitude reflects leadership. The reason alot of players are posting bad reviews is not just because of p2w and balance issues, but because to many "popular" players are NOT leading by example and helping new players feel welcome. As a new player you only have to play the game for a few hours before you are faced with a wall of negativity, antagonism and disdain. Many players both high and low ranked will comment how much you suck at the game or bitch about balance or what not etc. Only a small handful of top players like StephennJF show some class, maturity and try to be constructive. Company of Heroes? Seems more like Company of Villains. But most players are just selfish so thats normal? I can tell from experience that in "mature" games such as EVE Online I have seen literally thousands of players act as ONE team rather than a bunch of solo players only looking out for themself. EvE online is a very team oriented game and solo players are usual doomed to fail in pvp. There is a big attitude problem within the COH community, thats reality. A bad attitude is also contagious. To quote "Remember The Titans", it shows the beginnings of acceptance and teamwork.
Personal, I consider myself a mature teamplayer. I have no desire to socialize with immature players that are only looking out for themself. I love COH2 as a game but the community is not very mature, not as bad as LoL but still shit tbh compared to "mature" MMO games such as EvE online. I played COH2 since closed beta but gave up on the community 4 months ago. Then I started playing EVE online again which I have played going back to closed beta in 2003. COH2 is a fun game more so than SC2, but to many players with a bad attitude and this is going all the way to the top. I have seen alot of good teams die in EVE online because the team got hijacked by leaders with a bad attitude. You can tell alot by how good a team or community will become by knowing the attitude of the popular players/leaders. Remember good leaders are not necessary good 1vs1 players but good team players that LOVE helping other players and will do ANYTHING for the community to thrive both ingame and outgame. If the leaders and popular players in COH would start leading by example then I would do my part to also help other players, but why should I care about a Company of Villains? I think most popular players in COH only care about themself and that attitude problem reflect both ingame and outgame in bad reviews. Few plays as good teamplayers in COH, let alone as a community. I'm gonna do like "Big Ju" and only look out for myself because thats what everyone else seems to be doing. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: EVE online - finest gaming community!15 Dec 2013, 07:32 AM
I played COH2 since closed beta. The game was alot of fun for me but the lack of maturity among top players killed the game for me. I played EVE online for 8 years until 2011. So 1 month ago, I decided to take a brake from COH2 and start playing EVE online again. As a mature player myself I was astounded by the generosity of EVE players to help CCP raise money for the Philippines. As inspiration for players and devs within COH2 I would highly recommend to go check it out: Dev Blogs: PLEX FOR GOOD: PHILIPPINES TYPHOON RELIEF http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/plex-for-good-philippines-typhoon-relief/ PLEX For Good charity stream. Raising money for the Philippines! http://www.twitch.tv/ccp/c/3361174 Dev Blogs: PLEX FOR GOOD CHARITY LIVE STREAM http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/plex-for-good-charity-live-stream-1/ Dev Blogs: PLEX FOR GOOD: THE PHILIPPINES - RESULTS http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/plex-for-good-philippines-results/
My final message to all the immature COH2 top players out there: GROW UP! Start leading by example and take responsibility for others than yourself. Deflecting blame and responsibility on others are always easier than looking in your own mirror. Attitude reflect leadership. As a former EVE and Homeworld hardcore player I can say you set a terrible example for new players and should be embarrassed. Dont ever consider coming to play EVE because we dont need selfish players like you that have an e-peen at size of Mount Everest. No EVE is not perfect and we have much more we can do to help new players with the right attitude get into a very complex game. In: Other Games |

Thread: Why do so many pros protect their "secrets"?6 Nov 2013, 05:48 AM
People are selfish, not just the pros. I disagree abit about that, it depends what kind of gaming community you have and the players it attract. Yes to many top players in COH are just bad team players in general or have a bad attitude. I played EVE online for 8 years since closed beta and saw plenty of top players and teams helping new players or "average players" get into the "end game". Maturity do come with age (but some never grow up) and top teams in EVE online have much higher average age than COH. Many top teams in EVE wont accept players below 20 years (unless they know you from real life) and have average age around 25-30 years and its not rare to play with 30-40 years old players that have kids etc.. CCP devs did not make EVE they just gave us tools to do it, we the EVE community as EVE is a big sandbox game. The beta players and core group of players that worked like crazy for years to build some good teams (which are called corps) and community. Players should stop deflecting all blame on Relic and take responsibility. I play COH2 mostly for fun and not very interested socializing with the 1vs1 community because it seems rather immature compared to EVE online. Ingame chat (during a game/fight) are not a place to socialize and especially NOT to bitch and insult other players. Saying anything beyond hf gl and gg are not really neccessary. Top teams sometimes with hundres of players in EVE wont say anything in public chat during a fight, they all listen to those in charge (fleet commanders). Now that is self-discipline to follow the chain of command. Maturity + leadership = team win and learn from losses. You dont build a good team based on elitism thats just suicide. Elitism are very dark and counterproductive because its exclude others from the team. This is not theorycrafting, I talk from years of experience studying and/or helping top teams in EVE. Attitude reflect leadership (like StephennJF) and instead of insulting new players, top players should lead by example and help new players get into COH. That how you build a community not scaring people away with elitism but make new players feel welcome.. Bottom line, COH top players need to GROW UP and start taking responsibility for others than themself. EVE Online - Welcome to the New Age http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFNzIsS0-GA In: Lobby |
