60 munitions is expensive. Get more than 1 and you won't have munitions for Shrecks and you get killed by a T-70. Go for muni first and you wont have fuel for StuG and you get killed by a T-70.
Cost effective counter to LMGs: conscript spam into T-70.
Not really, unless the squad is really low health, molotov takes allot of time on mobile infantry. Putting it's effect on garrisoned units aside, I think its the worse grande in the game, and perhaps that's why its the cheapest.
Molotov has a decent chance to instakill at least one guy in the squad. Putting it's effect on tanks aside, Panther is the worst vehicle in the game. Forcing you to abandon cover/buildings is not a small deal. I wish they'd just replace it with F1s or something.
It seems to instasuppress when firing right where it's aimed at the edge of it's arc. Also seems to be a bit better against grens than everything else? I'd say the overnerf is the turning speed, when a pioneer squad came from like 10 degrees from where it was aimed it didn't suppress in time. Also, the bonus in DPS when shooting lots of guys seems pretty big, but I'm not sure of the utility in that, except versus the stupidest of blobs if there are that many entities in it's arc, they're coming from multiple directions and you are already dead.
Edit: If you think we didn't test right, friend me on steam and we can do some more science.
1. Make Oorah Doctrinal. This should really go in the Guards rifles/Conscript support tactics.
2. Make PPSH a researchable ability for 200 MP 50 Fuel. That way, Conscripts will continue to have a decent DPS without having the ridiculous "fire up ability" from minute 1.
I like this idea. Might result in some more soviet doctrine variety too.
Having a "Fire-up" ability which avoids suppression on a main line infantry unit (not rangers or Airborne) is kinda bullshit to be honest.
+1
It's not "Fire-up", more like "Sprint", I don't think it increases their suppression resistance, just makes them go through the cone completely before they get suppressed. Even so, "Sprint" took researching everything, and Oorah! is free at the start of the game...
Without suppression, Conscripts just rush right in and molotov everything, forcing germans to fight from outside cover or inside fires, and you don't win any fights from there.
id have to see that video youre talking about to really know how the engi beat the mg. lucky flame crits could keep killing the entity thats actually on the mg and prevent it from firing though.
Yesterday's Propagandacast. I'll upload the replay if I can figure out the system, but I think you're right that the guys shooting were the ones dying.
