Why not remove maxims of the game ? kappa.
Good idea, it's ruining the sov faction anyway.
Being bad at the game isn't something balance patches can fix.

I faced a top 100 axis 2vs2 team yesterday. The ostheer player went for double ost mortar and a sniper. Guess what, it didn't stop me in the slightest. And ye, as bananenheld says, i will have a maxim for every squad, flanking is impossible making the smaller arc a non-issue. And there is the lovely fact that if you go for mortars, my maxims will outnumber your inf squads, making winning engagements that much easier. And a maximspam certainly doesn't lack capping power, unlike say, going for mortars. There is no hardcounter to maximspam, nor is there any significant weakness in going for it. I can know, it got me to rank 22 in 1vs1. In: COH2 Balance |

The problem is simply not the maxim. People tend to spam this unit because it is the only viable option for soviets infantry wise in the early game. True or not ( i tend to go for not) you simply cannot ignore the fact that the maxim in and of itself is OP. I am 100% sure people will still prefer going maxims even if the rest of the sov army was viable. Why? it's microless, skillless a-move tasitc suppresion weapon which gets better when spammed, has no true hard counter and the cheapest reinforce cost ingame (at 15 mp per man, not even ostruppen beat it). Im even tempted to invite anyone who thinks maxims are "fine" for a 1vs1, but i doubt it will help. In: COH2 Balance |

Apart from being in bad taste and borderline glorifying people killing themselves (a new low for aaa, who knew he could do it?) there is the following little fact for you allied fanboys to consider: In: COH2 Balance |

AOE supperession ignores cover. This is a problem. So buff the maxim more? Sure go ahead, i always wanted a top 10 spot. In: COH2 Balance |

Irrelevant and not at all what my point was about. But what else to expect from you? Certainly not a well thought-out and on subject post regarding something that should be nerfed on brtish side. In: COH2 Balance |

Dear Doggo, You misunderstood the post i made (as per expectations). Advanced emplacements and mobile assault being used all the time is because they are OP. Other commanders are decent but are completly outshone by aformentioned commanders. It's rifle company all over again. And as for riflecompany, there is no reason to keep the commanders like that. As for the rest of your post, about half of it doesn't apply to our little discussion whereas the rest of the things you listed as being "overnerfed" were overperfoming units. They deserved what they got. In: COH2 Balance |

Common sense would say; if only the February commanders are played...especially the Emplacement commander. Then, well... Ah yes, this argument. "Caliope/Maxim/emplacement commander are used every single time because the rest of the faction/commanders suck and certainly not for being OP". We have dismissed that claim. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Why do you like CoH 2?14 Mar 2016, 13:43 PM
What i like? Beating players up with what feels like smart tactics and skill but deep down inside i know it's cheese. Still, gives me a superiorty feeling. And im pretty sure im addicted to coh2. What i don't like? The forums, most people don't bother with stats facts, logic or reason of any kind but still insist on knowing "whats best". Trying to explain why they are wrong is often en excercise in frustration. Why i prefer playing coh2 over anything else? Currently im decent in this game and nothing but a noob in others, but assuming that will change, it will probably be the diffeculty of learning this RTS, and the many things one can do in a game. Except that emplacements are countered mostly by these cheaper, mobile units since the more expensive mobile units (stuka, werfer) are useless due to brace. Ofc ost could go LefH, but a: thats doctrinal and b: it leaves okw in the dust and recently c: counter barrage commander screws that too. So ye, if you want to chance the above, brace has to be changed in such a way it stops the cheaper stuff but is weaker to the expensive stuff. In: COH2 Balance |
