Disagree. SU-85 is a good unit doing what it is supposed to do. |
http://coh2chart.com/
axis are 60% in 4v4, USF/Sov are 63%, and UKF is at 70
Looking back, axis were consistently in the high 80% winrate (many times, in the 90% range) as far back as the chart allows (July 1st). Allies were lucky to be around 50%, until UKF were added to the game.
Common sense and personal experience is telling me that A) UKF was a new faction and everyone wanted to play it, coupled with B) US and Soviet were being propped up in 4v4 by the UKF.
Now that the new faction smell is wearing off, and things like the crippling brace nerf, the needed bofors and partisan nerf and vickers bug fix is in place, I think we'll see axis return to 4v4 dominance, and the leiG is going to be a major unit to carry them there

I was supprised to see that commando's are 35 mp to reinforce (the same as an IS infantryman).
I think they should stay as a very potent squad.... but i think the costs are wrong...
Suggested fixes:
From Vanguard glider, Price increase from 350 to 500 MP, per squad.
Reinforce costs from 35 to 50.
+2 population cost
(These changes to be included for the airlanding officer squad too).
They are currently the best infantry, their prices should reflect as such.
I'm all up for price increase for a regular squad but the one with the glider has commander in it that's why it's 500mp. I believe regular squad doesn't have commander and therefore asking 500mp is a bit much. 400 - 450 mp will be more accurate. |
ISGs are crazy effective right now! On target every shot, suppress every shot, put them down next to Flack building and you're sorted for majority of the game.
Lets all cry about Air Superiority being OP and completely neglect true monster. |
What about IS then? Shall we change them as well in the event of Grens getting an extra model?
I'd be more inclined towards leaving them as they are now which means they get extra model with an upgrade but they get DPS increase with it as well.
BTW: as much as I like the idea of Grens being 5 men I don't think it will ever going to happened as Whermaht balance revolves around Grens being 4 men and if this had to be changed I lot would have to been changed with it. |
Can we not start with the L2R insults? Are you incapable of replying to me without questioning my intelligence?
Well to be honest he had a point there as you basically repeated what he wrote trying to make counter argument. |
I'd for that change but a hell lot of abilities and units will have to be adjusted to accommodate for that. |
Wait.
Are you trying to tell me that deciding at the 3 minute mark to not build any of my HQ buildings outside of my base as a reaction to the CHANCE that my opponent goes commando regiment is "counterplay?"
Astounding.
This isn't even something doctrinal like an artillery piece. This is literally the core of OKW.
I wasn't talking in relation to this ability. I was talking in general. |
Yeah lets just completely lock out entire strategies centering around truck placement because of one late game ability.
Dumbest solution I've ever heard.
Sorry, but what's wrong in counter play? |
I actually find them pretty viable 1v1 so far. Didn't play much though and being still in the placement zone I get all sort of opponents, from very strong to very weak ones, but I can definitely see them as decent faction. Try to explore every option as a lot of the strategies and units work. People complain about Infantry Section being weak but to be honest with 5th man and double Bren's they are beasts! Vickers are very good in buildings (the not bugged version) and every time there is a chance I try to pop one in. My favourite commander is the one with Croc, M5 and AT infantry section. You can stay on battlefield forever since IS can heal on the go and M5 just reinforce and upgrade your troops. |
