MG42 teams in this game are far too easy to counter, but Grens are stronger. It doesn't take a genius to realize that 100% of soviet openings 'make the game stale', but somehow german openings don't, despite being equally repetitive. Or at least thats what community bitches about. A faction being more fun to play against rather than with is what determines my current favourite and unfortunately Ostheer are incredibly limited to their early game build orders. At least when Soviet players used T1/T2 openings and Shocks it provided more variety to play against. The safest option against Consspam is Grens and I personally find this a very boring matchup In: COH2 Balance

Short barrelled AOE weapons would still "hit" other vehicles at long range where as currently ATG's and assault guns miss quite regularly at long range. The mechanic in vCoH to make up for this was ATG's would hit consistently but have penetration modifiers at long range (and also have overall better damage with non-penetrating shots, meaning you could "chip away" at high armour value targets) In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Soviets Advanced Warfare Tactics Commander25 Feb 2014, 22:45 PM It is not relevant to compare one ability to another for terms of balancing - each ability should be looked at in itself (and especially with two completely different ones such as Radio Intercept and G43 interrogation) Also saying that an ability must be balanced because in it's previous incarnations it appeared in underpowered commanders is not a good argument either. On topic I would say that this commander as a whole is nice and wish that all others felt as "polished". I'll put it down to luck more than it being intentional however In: COH2 Balance
