Well, what I do is like this:
Pick a commander with smoke
4 grens + 1 MG42. Extra pioneer for more mines and slightly more capping power if you want one.
Keep all infantry in a relatively small area of the map, and always move every unit with a gren (including grens, so always units in pairs)
All munitions except for the tactical faust reserve (ie 25...50 depending on how far along the game is) goes into mines (both types, smines for general area denial, tellers on potential clown car paths to oneshot them with their passengers)

Ostwind
Backtech T2 for pak/shrek if your ostwind was very delayed(over 6cps) or if you in general feel like you'll be unable to deal with the t34s with just vehicles.
