Noobs with 30 apm ofcourse loved it so they could claim "I win with out-thinking my opponent, not by clicking faster". Go play Starcraft (in Korean server) or www.clickclickclick.com, if you think your finger reflex = skill. Arty is a counter of stonewall stalemate, in no way you can win with arty spam without strategical thinking, unless you are playing Schedt. Anyone think Katyusha and werfer is fine in this patch are definitely high or ignorant or trolling, there is enough shoutcast by ImperialDane showing a pair of werfer shooting together into a bunch of cons, maxim and Zis, killing nobody. Even the pee shooting Puma hull MG getting more kills than the harmless firework launcher. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: This patch killed Katyusha and Werfer13 May 2014, 04:38 AM I don't know why they nerf them so much, what I watched from stream, replays, and experience of my own games, these two units are just a 85 fuel of New Year Firework launcher, absolutely safe and harmless. The change of inverse variation of range and accuracy is reality, but for gameplay, it is bullshit. I cannot count how many times I try to silent a mortar but got squadwiped just because my troops are closed to the mortar. For artillery piece like lefH, ML20, they already doesn't worth 600 MP before the nerf because it is so easy to call an off map arty or airstrike blowing it to dust, why increase their cool down making them further worthless? Katyusha and Werfer are super fragile units and makes no sense having them close to their target, just for making them actually killing something, and the cool down is waaaaaaaaay too long. Buffing ATGs and nerfing late game indirect fire in the same patch is really a bad idea. I think they should remove that inverse variation of range and accuracy crap, or keeping it but decrease the scatter. Howie should have manpower cost decrease, having some fuel cost, and HP increase, making them still possible to get destroyed with double off map strike. In: COH2 Balance

You have to remember that it isn't just tanks it kills, any Infantry they rush at it to try to AT nade it that get killed, that's more Manpower. Any Muni such as AT grenades or other such things they fire at it, that's more Muni invested in to dropping this one tank. And if used properly it will MORE than pay for itself, the battle phase requirement and Structure cost. You could argue to just get 2/3 Tigers instead, but then you have no tank to rush forward and get flanks with, Pz4 can work in this role but it dies really fast now and almost always gets Crit'd by At Grenades, Panther has a very good chance to bounce them now. Yeah Most people are ignorant about it and about frontal Armor value's and I believe Panther is sloped too so it's even better (if that is even taken in to account) Knowing about Range affecting penetration is a huge game changer IMO, it really changes how you should play with your tanks. I don't care even the Panther stat is like a Panther Ace or not (which is totally not), it is NOT FUCKING COST EFFECTIVE because of the combination tech cost, risk of forgoing Tigers and T3 Panzers, or Elefant. Why should I get a nerfed Panther, which is way more expensive and weaker than a buffed Tiger? You are talking about, "if used right". If used right, Stug and Tiger can 1vAll Sovjet throw at the Reich, sorry, Panther can't. In: Ostheer Strategies
