When merging conscripts with other units I noticed the merged unit doesn't change to look like the new squad, look:
con merged with penals:
con merged with eng:
Was it like this before the patch, and how does that effect the merge outcome? |
sometimes the smart thing to do is not to reply. they might end up with a foot up their mouths.
especially when you can't do anything about it and you know that your top management doesn't give a **** about what customers think |
Yup! We're reading that, for sure. We're aware of it, but I believe that's also the thread where I'm called a Nazi which is not quite what we mean by constructive. I don't feel like arguing with people, so while we're definitely taking in feedback when it is constructive, we're allowing conversations to develop naturally within the community without interceding at this point.
You can skip over people/comments like that, but if you skip every thread because of those comments you will miss 99% of topics because there are people trashing every single thread. And I can't tell you how many great topics went by with no feedback from you guys. |
I think all of our fans' ideas are worth considering, and when presented in a constructive manner deserve to be heard. It doesn't mean we'll put them all into place, but everyone gets to be heard with respect and consideration.
Then you should check the topic below, because there is allot constructive comments in it made by many of Relic's fans who are right now angry for the lack of response.

You ideas are pretty great
lol, so far in this topic only you find those ideas great (except idea #1). |
Maybe the community should write some sort of an open letter that collects all the criticism the community agrees on ? (not only coh2.org) We could also include proposals how to solve these issues etc
What is the incentive for Relic to fix broken things in this game? They already made their profit and many of this game's problems are structural like input lag and p2p connection, etc. |
Im indeed left wondering why, if Hoyhammer thinks the game was dead on release, he played it like there was no tomorrow.
Nevertheless I agree with most points made in this topic. From what I understand vCoH was made by a different team than the one that made the expansion and introduced the PE and Brits. As we all know, those factions were nowhere near as well designed as the original US and Wehr factions.
Now rumor has it it was this team that did CoH2 as well. No wonder it turned out the way it did.
Some of the design decisions they made such as blizzards are just so weird. The first time I heard about how blizzards would stall the game, and you would have to make campfires I already felt it was a horribly idea. Slowing down a game and making players take care of their units like it's the sims: wtf? And in practice it turned out to be just like that: one big WTF.
Same goes for hammering (pun intended) the game with more and more commanders, one being even more broken than the other. Or the retarded bulletin system. All things that any sensible player would consider a bad idea, but that made it in the final product regardless.
All in all these are indications this game was made by people that just werent as insightful as the people that made vCoH. Talent was at Relic, but left. This is what were left with.
That's what I have been trying to find out for some time now, were the people responsible for making COH1 still working in the company or did they leave? Because COH1 design fundamentals displayed tremendous amount of passion and attention to detail on part of it's developers. That can't be said about COH2 developers. |
Yea most of the things mentioned are true, but I still played the game in hope that it would get better. The breaking point came with this new patch (funny enough they call it turning point). |
EDIT: Didn't they release a hotfix maybe 2 days after the release of the Assault Gren commander? Only to buff them again later on due to whining?
1 day after, and it changed the AG cost from 280mp to 200mp + 50 ammo. Later they changed it to 320mp and that's the problem, those commanders are sold with cretin specs and when they get changed right away most customers will feel cheated. |
Just dont buy them. That is the only language they speak (money).
Sad to say that will not work, because many people play this game to win and rank up on the ladder. For them those commanders are just what they are looking for. For people who will abstain, they will just get frustrated by the abuse. |
