The buffs to Ostheer are pretty nice tbh. The LOS buff to the pios can't be understated, and the ostheer sniper is now a unit to be reckoned with. I am loving OST atm.
Also, on Einhoven Country there are portions of the ground south of the middle vp that splash as if they were water when shells from indirect fire hit them.
Heavily QA'd maps indeed. I played 6 games today and identified all of the issues above in my first games on the maps. : \
That being said, I really love Einhoven Country it's a great map. In fact i've enjoyed all the maps except sittard summer due to the nature of it. It's a pretty map but not meant for automatch imo.
This map making it into the rotation ahead of redball is pretty sad. I get that redball was released fairly recently, but shit that map is so polished. It's the best competitive 3v3 map available, and instead they give us a fucking comp stomp map in automatch...BLECH.
Sittard is nice looking map,but why add such "one choke" map in automatch pool. I would like to see map with flow and cutoffs, not this map played by compstompers. This is worse than Rostov.
I agree, nice looking map, but it's not a good automatch map. I'm pretty upset that Redball express didn't get added.
We've got a stashed cast from several weeks ago between Romeo and Quentin! I bet you can guess the match up AND commanders before the game even starts. This match was picked from the observation mode live game list so we didn't know what we were getting into before hand. It's a quick game, and keep in mind this was recorded several weeks ago so the refrences to Romeo returning to the game are obviously a bit dated at this point.
This will be our last cast before the big march patch. We will be livecasting some games on April 1st (Foolsday!) showing off the new patch, and we will likely be uploading at least a portion of that to youtube in the days following so stay tuned!
If the Pershing were to be introduced it should absolutely not be a commander call in. We already have enough commander pigeonholing in coh2. The USF is a faction that allows players to supplement their playstyle with a commander, rather than define it.
Introducing a heavy like that to the USF would require a rework of the whole faction, and just because it's is in demand doesn't mean that it is a good idea.
Having the Pershing locked into a commander would immediately outclass every single other USF commander and would only serve to limit an already limited meta. As a HUGE USF fan, I really hope they don't introduce the Pershing.
If you want to play with heavies play the soviets, honestly it just doesn't make sense for the USF to have a tank of that stature.
