Like borobadger said: If you are struggling use the standard BO: MG>Gren>Gren>Gren for your first minutes.
Try to move you 2 of your Grens togehter with your MG in the backline.
The thrid Gren and your Pio can be used to cap other points and especially give close support for you MG if being flanked.
Most of the time USF will play like : Rifle>Rifle>Rifle>Lui/Captain
In numbers these are 4 squads + engi.
With "point&click attack" your MG can supress 2 Squads due to the wide angle (widest of all MGs in CoH2).
Afterwards your inf squads should take care of the 3 remaining USF Squads.
Remember never go wide with OST if you are new to them. They can easily manage to win a good micro, but small area early game.
If he is harrassing you with a Stuart stay more defensive and build a pak at min 7 or a PzGren with Schrecks (if you do, remember not to spend to manny ammo onto LMGs fro Grens).
A combination of Inf+Support is OSTs key to victory. Focus onto one ammo & fuel and dont get stressed if the VPs are ticking against you.
I wouldn`t recommend going two MGs against USF as the first two units. Through this you will increase the annyoing flanking potential.

Better add your gamemode to your question Because 1v1 and 2v2 have pretty different Strats to play against brits. I think you just need tips for OKW? Or do you also want some with ost? In: OKW Strategies |
Thread: UKF vs Snipers , what to do?13 Sep 2015, 12:01 PM
A Bren Carrier can already be a good idea In the first minutes of a game it forces the Ost player to be more defensive with his sniper and also it increase the micro for that sniper. Later on the wasp is a great way to keep the sniper out of your way due to the extreme range of the flames. In: Strategy Desk |
Thread: Need advice on how to reduce the micro tax mid-late game11 Sep 2015, 12:38 PM
If I get you right you are struggling with the micro if all your inf units are in one group? If I am right then the Tab tip goes on. Just tab to the hurt unit you want to retreat and give them the order. For sure it needs some practice, like I said before, but every maicro tip needs practice never give up I personally prefer the mouse click onto the unit in the group. Through this I can avoid mistakes during retreat and it is pretty efficiency and accurate. At least it depends onto your playstyle which the best strategy is. It is nonsense if you are working well onto one way you can handle, just to stop that and then trying a totally different way. You have to feel comfortable with it and then it will work best If you arent sure which methode you like the most or you dont feel comfortable with your current way to do it, try the way I do it by clicking. There are also a lot of other ways to do it. I would recommend you to watch some streams of good gamers and learn from their way how to handle it, if you dont like one of the mentioned options It also easier to see a method in action than just reading about it. Thread: Need advice on how to reduce the micro tax mid-late game10 Sep 2015, 10:03 AM
Hey hannibalbarcajr This part of the game is the most stressful and it needs a lot of practice. Even good skilled players struggle with this from time to time But there is a little hint I can give to you, even if it sounds pretty easy. Begin to watch replays or live games ingame and try to keep up to overwatch all units of one side. Behave like you would be the player onto the field: follow the sniper listen to sounds and go fast the their point if needed keep an eye onto the minimap and the unit icons try to follow every attack and even look for flanking opportunities etc. The most important thing here is, that you got a lower stress lvl, you arent in the match as a player, just as a viewer. You can slowly try to handle fast camera speed easier, to be more sensetive for sounds and get a better sense for danger. Another good tip is the tactical map, you can see top tier players like luvnest using this map nearly every second. The reason is you got a better overview of nearly every situation onto the battlefield in just a second. Even try to train you memory. If you can remember every step you ordered a unit to do, you can handle a better unit preservation in the late game. For sure it is getting harder the more units you got, but it shouldnt be a disadvantage for YOU to keep all units alive until the late game starts. And also never stay with your camera onto one sport for a long time if nothing happens. Move your camera, look at your units, even if nothing is happening there. Repeat the units order to keep it easier in your mind. The important thing here is, order nothing unnecessary, then it is easier to remember every position of your units. And a last thing it, I just use the first 4 numbers for the most important units e.g. engis, main inf, tanks and a special unit like sniper. You could try, for example to put all your main inf onto one hotkey, like 1, then press it and switch through them with the Tab button, for sure it needs some practice, but this is needed everywhere in the game But this is just one way to do it! So it is not the sample solution And last but not least dont be upsad if you lose cause of micro issues. Micro is the hardest thing in a game and nearly everyone does some mistakes in a long game. If you lose, rewatch the game and analyse your mistakes Hope I could help See you on the Battlefield In: Strategy Desk |

Hi Samson, yes you can still stack the bulletins, but I doesnt mean that the bulletin stack like (-10%) + (-10%) + (-10%), it's more about: basic suppression - 10% = outcome - 10% = outcome - 10% = new suppression One of the other Strategist should correct me if I am wrong, but that should be the way Relic changed it In: Strategy Desk |

Most of the time I use to play Rifles with 2 BARs in Close Quarter Combat, that's what the weapon is made for. But it is stil veryeffective onto mid range, atleast remember it is not a real long range weapon like the Browning 1919. The Bazooka is kind of useless vs everything higher than a medium tank. I wont say it deals no damage, but most of the time the shoots will bounce of his armor. Instead tech onto T3 (Captain) and get some AT guns. Combined with their abilities they are a serious matter for any heavy OR make the casual build with Mayor and get a Jackson, but through the point you don't want to play the regular T2 - T4 I would recommend the AT gun Better save the ammo for commander abilities or the BAR upgrades. There ist a combination of 1919ers and BARs pretty effective In: Strategy Desk |
