On one hand it seems interesting, on the other it seems to be fairly weak for 200 muni even fully upgraded. At 145 muni still seems meh but would be very spammable, the best case would be to use it in the retreat path of a blobber as it will be to late to do anything at that point and entire armies could get wiped. However, if they activate like S-mines they can easily get removed by tanks or even LV for little reward.
Is it possible to switch it to the 30 muni mines? Say 5 to start with and bump it up from there. That way it would be anti-everything but not overly punishing against infantry unless you retreat extremely low model squads thru the area. |
Post the games you play in, have fun bro. |
As a warning if you hate blobs avoid this as I made 4 PPSH cons plus a 5th regular con squad in for stealing weapons or reinforcing squads.
Started forest side, so went with Advanced tactics and my standard 4 con build as I knew I was matched up against OKW. I was able to set up nicely for first engagement, USF ally came to help which meant I traded really well and decided to make 5th con squad. Some good back and forth with us coming ahead most times. I told allies to stay sharp as I played vs Kilder/Papeus a few times already. They have weak early game but they really turn it on mid/late game. Put down some early mines and decided to upgrade my PPSH squads, pulled of first good flank at around 9 min mark. Had 2 PPSH/1 Reg against single sturm with 2 other PPSh squads waiting in the retreat path. Got the easy wipe and pushed my blob into his 3 VG blob and got another wipe. I might have gotten a 3rd wipe but Falls appeared and wasn't sure if it was axis player coming to help.
From there Papeus gave up right side so I was able to pull of some massive flanks using oorah into retreat path. By end of game, probably killed at least 2 Obers/2Falls and a few more VG. |
I thought this was a pretty fun game, I feel due to oorah wider more open maps that let me loop around works better vs the close urban maps. Also I think lots of players seem to underestimate the damage cons put out at VET2 with the PPSH. I have gotten plenty of wipes especially on Grens due to their low model count and damage reduction not helping until Vet3. My biggest issue has been how squishy they are compare to Penals as penals get both damage and rec acc boost at Vet2. To compensate I try to have a 3 squad blob with 3rd squad used for merge to keep DPS output. Another thing I have noticed is that Vet3 comes fairly quickly as they aren't really balanced around being able to do so much damage and model kill.
Our early game was pretty bad in the north, Aeron was arguing that the PPSH upgrade was useless and he was pissed off. Little by little we played it slow, got proper positioning and got a few wipes. Ost did a good job of using 251 for forward reinforce but CON PPSH blob did more damage than he could heal. Once we got a few tank kills we started to put heavy pressure and southern axis completely lost his match up. From there we tug of war for the VP but with our supperior Vet we were winning most engagements and whiched allowed us to quickly kill both Tiger and then Ele that they were stalling for. |
Decided to switch it up recently and play with PPSH cons, we got bullied from the start of the game with occasional bright spots. Once I got my katy out got my chance but it took a bit.
1st/2nd barrage a few kill but I noticed they continued to blob.
3rd got my first wipe
4th/5th barrage got multiple wipes in each barrage
Literally nuked all their vet and we pretty much beat them down from there.
Axis Luchs put in work, we could not kill that damn thing and it got to Vet4 maybe 5
US 105 bulldozer actually put in a good amount of work, was suprised |
Horrible start by left USF and I, we got bullied off of cutoff for quite a while. Right side USF kept us in it, harassed his side to help a few times. I lost several Penals/Engi/AirGuards, didn't really stabalize until about 25 mins in. Great end game push started by right side USF really caught axis off guard and I was able to ram both heavies for the kill.
Highlights:
USF allies showed strength of scotts/paths
T34 ram to kill P4J slowed down OKW quite a bit
2nd T34 ram set up for USF to destroy OST P4J, was able to recover tank which put us in the driver seat
OST did great job of circling bushes to stop Jackson from killing werfer, was hilarious
Lowlights:
Our early game was a disaster
We had no snares (Paths/Penals...) yet axis did not attempt any LV strats
Axis stall for heavies really messed them up as they didn't pay off |
Went with AssGuards, worked out well enough. Lots of momentum swings, despite fairly even game they had us down to around 170 points at about 20mins. From there we stabalized and grinded our way back. Both teams ended up under 20 points by the end of the match
Low Lights:
Lost AssG to my own flames, pitiful.
Got shot at and triggered own mine.
Sniper play was OK, could have been better but did it job by the time I lost it.
Almost threw the game with a really bad push, lost 4 T34 for no gain.
Highlights:
Great Ele play by OST, had soviet Ally raging about spotting scopes (KV2 commander is a bad matchup)
Katy had decent kills but quite a bit of squad wipes
Both teams did good job of rotating and catching each other off guard.
After rewatch, it seems what got us the W was loss of vet on axis squads. They weren't replaced in timely manner so blob vs blob engagments heavily favored allies.
Was a great game give it a watch if you got time. |
Saw his name, was expecting some toxic shit, actually played fairly team friendly and no trash talk. WE started dominating around mid game, made a KV8 which didnt due much until the end was more for intimidation.
I felt I did fairly well on the forrest side with Penals/AssGuards. Was proud of Ober wipe using assault nades over sight blocker. |
Larger map, got lucky in early game. Ost left grens unsupported by MG. Since it is a large map for 4v4 I parked my car waiting for retreat wipe. Managed to kill 3 Gren squads and steal MG. Ost switched to G43 Storm spam which clawed him back until tanks hit the field and his lack of snares or AT guns screwed him.
Not a technical game, but the early wipes felt great as car is usually useless against OST. |
Didn't play for a week, decided to play and these assholes decided to make it go down to the 30s for both teams.
Highlights:
Dove to kill enemy Ostwind, got it somehow made it out alive
AT Overwatch for KT kill, later on for Double panthers
Allied AVRE came in clutch a few times
OKW made good use of OPEL plus blob got several kills off on us
Lowlights:
Couple rams into AT overwatch came up empty
We got the shit flanked out of us multiple times
KT literally wiped several of my Penal squads in 1 or two shots, like a dummy I kept trying to hold on instead of respecting |
