It´s very well possible to be good in under 100 games. I dare to say I was skilled after the first 5 games of Coh2. Reason for that might be the similarities to Coh1, where I had about 2000 games from 2006-2012. |
Lowering the cost wouldn´t do the unit any good.
What do I want with two slow behemoths that get instantly defeated by skill planes, Jacksons and mark target?
What it needs is survivability. It´s the most heavily armored tank of the war for Christs sake. Increase health and frontal armor. Decrease the splash damage, so it doesn´t oneshot infantry to compensate. Keeping your frontal armor at the enemy should be rewarded. Flanking used to be one of Cohs strong points. |
+ 30% vet gain on your mainline infantry is huge. Considering that an US players army early on consists of one RE and only rifles, this can be a game breaking advantage. On average you have vet2 on your infantry way before the other player does. |
The best infantry bulletin is the + 3 accuracy (bronze)
And then?
5% cooldown bulletin (grenadier emblem)
or the
-2% cooldown -2% reload time? (gold)
or
-3% reload (silver) |
Soviet wins: 70%
I made a thread about it.
The Soviet fanclub joined and denied it.
All hell broke lose.
It got locked.
Congratulations. Stalin himself couldn´t have done it better. I predict that even with these statistics you will hit a wall of the usual suspects shamelessly denying that the Soviets have every advantage in the game.
|
Also i think Rate of Fire bulletins a lot better than cooldown reduction, and, while accuracy is best, inf accuracy bulletins don't drop, so you can't stack them. It does drop for Panzergrens and Obersoldaten though. |
The leaked notes already show the big changes needed to Soviet play, so why the whine must continue is mysterious. Where are those notes? |

AT-guns should have more line of sight as well
Well ,then both units would look at each other. The point is that AT-guns have 60 range. If the view distance went up from 40 to 50 range units, your tank will be into the AT-guns arc of fire by 10 units seeing the AT-gun, and not 20 units and you can escape more easily. |
The usual suspects defending the Soviets again:
Could you please tell me how Soviets are balanced then instead of writing "lel l2p, axis whiners"?
Squad wipes happen on a frequent basis, the tanks are up to German counterparts, the artillery is superior, the infantry can take a beating. And all is combined with a great ammunition flow + cheap mines.
So please let me hear arguments. |

That would make AT-guns significantly less effective, because nobody would drive into their line of fire/ or just slightly into it being able to retreat immediately.
So, not a good idea. |
