Yes RNG is important and I like it to, but CoH2 has more of it to CoH1 and it is by far more punishing.
My primary problem with RNG in this game revolves around mines, in particular Soviet mines. They are by far the most broken part of RNG in this game. I have lost 2-3 games in the past week primarily because a single Soviet mine killing 4 men, full health gren squads. Yet other times, it kills only 1 model and hardly protects your flank. There is no predictability to mine RNG and it is frustrating.
Sorry but I've never ever seen a soviet mine wiping out the whole squad at full health. I mostly play as Soviet (95% of all games) and I place mines in every game no exception. Never ever TM-35 killed a squad for me....
What happens is that the first mine kills two models, the second kills one more and leaves last model alive. It happened like 100 times and I've never seen a full health squad wipe with one mine |
4x ISU 152.
I guess you own all the fuel in the world |
Its just a real represent of the real power and military advance that the German Army had on the war.
Now saying that is bug, cheat, thats noob talk mate.
Ok, well you German fan boys have to stop complaining about early tanks with soviet industry. This doctrine is a replica of soviet war industry that produced tank armies in no time. |

Don't forget that guards are one of the few units that did not get nerfed/ buffed. They were created as anti light vehicle infantry and they were great in this role until recent nerf to Scout Car. Nowadays, we almost never see scout cars on the field unless OH players are trying to bate Soviets into guards doctrine and then go super heavy on elite infantry and drain their man power dead dry. No light vehicles - no need in Guards anymore.
Yes, there is button ability which is great in my opinion, but as we know it doesn't work well sometimes.
DP 28 plus Button plus Mark the Vehicle plus SU85/ ZiS3 is an awesome combo but it costs tons tons of muni which is simply not always available all at once.
My favorite doctrine is one with Ppsh and hit the dirt but I almost never call in Guards unless my team owns both muni points. I would rather opt out for more mines to inflict engine damage than draining all my muni in an attempt to kill a tank. |
T34 has 80 penetration, 120 damage and something like 5 sec reload, SU76 has 95 penetration, 80 damage and 2.5sec reload. It also has 60 range compared to T34 40 range. However, T34 kills infantry much better because of its splash damage and 2 coaxial MGs and has 640hp(su76 has 320). SU76m gets +20 damage at vet2(that is 100 damage).
I build 2 of SU-76 if I go t1-t4 with guards, its enough to destroy medium armor. Then I either build su85 if I see heavy vehicles or spam su76 if opponent builds t3 or save for ISU-152 or t34-85 call-ins.
Great info!!! I'll try this next game. Any other tactics with SU76?) |
I don't think your specs are ok. Mine were a lot better than yours but the game still was not playable in multiplayer. I had to upgrade the whole system. It cost me $506 in total with tax and shipping.
Definitely, get better video like 7xxx and up, also it must be at least 8 gb of ram. |

The mistake you made there was fausting the KV-8 in the first place. Of course it should be able to wipe out a vet 3 grenadier squad, its sole purpose is to absolutely destroy infantry that are stupid enough to get too close or try to faust/shrek it.
I don't see how you can complain when you knew the risks would be huge if you stayed and tried to faust a KV-8.
+1
Never try to beat AI tank with infantry.
Never try to beat AT tank with tanks.

I've heard this advice so many times. Avoid ass grens, avoid panzer grenadiers, avoid G43, avoid avoid avoid....
In my experience T1 works the best against all of them. Usually, I go for 1 penal, 2 cons and a sniper in a scout car. It depends on situation what units i will build later, either another penals or one more sniper.
If I can get my hands on MG42 I will win ANY early game engagement. Sniper plus mg is a great combo. |
It's a great team game. I highly recommend it. |
