They should change the veterancy system of all non-doc tanks so that they get bigger buffs with vet.
This way if you manage to preserve your medium tanks they will have a chance vs heavies, at the same time spamming vet 0 tanks won't accomplish much more than now.
Right now you are heavily punished for getting mid tanks because it delays heavy armor, and once enemy heavies hit the field they become almost useless. You are hard pressed to push very hard with your medium tanks to make them pay for themselves before the late game, but stalling in a defensive stance is not very hard for the enemy; the enemy does not need to leave the defensive stance to chase your tanks, he just has to scare them away because he knows they are no threat to his heavies.
By changing vet bonuses you will still be pressed to make your mids get xp, while the enemy will have to take risks and push to take them down because if they survive long they will be a thret to their heavies.
It's easy for other forums to integrate it because they're built on popular forum engines such as phpBB or vBulletin, coh2.org is probably completely custom tho.
Placement is the key thing with this unit. If you think there will be a big engagement within that area then move it up there. Likewise, if you believe its dangerous you get out asap. If it has high speed and/or acceleration it will simply be to easy to control the map or escape well executed Axis ambushes.
It is the associated risk and I think it is best that it stays. Having both healing/reinforcing is a huge benefit right on the frontlines and if done correctly (even without a Major) you place so much pressure on your opponent that they can't help but forefit map control.
If you misplace your medic you should be punished for it.
