Pretty much the reason I got ToV; a series of perks and a couple of new units for the price of a full game seemed like a rip off but I bet a lot of die hard fans got it more to support the developer. What's just plain bad about the digital collectors edition is it doesn't feel like any effort was put into it; one single faceplate couldn't have taken that long to design and the extra commanders are nothing but 5 random abilities. The tank skins are pretty nice but they're not even exclusives. It feels more like Relic pulled a fast one on me considering there is nothing really exclusive besides the faceplate. It might as well have been called the "DLC Pack #1" at least a lot of people would have appreciated the honesty. I'm not upset for getting it, just a little disappointed that we didn't get a real Collectors Edition with cosmetic multiplayer features not available anywhere else. In: Lobby

It´s not only a super strong vehicle that excels in speed, range of the gun, vision range, price. No, it also get´s superb veterancy bonuses. That´s for me the reason to almost never ever build StuGs. You FEED VET to the Su-85 and you can´t flank it. Hell, you can barely even shoot back at it if it reverses. I agreed that the u85 shouldn't 2 shot stugs at vet 2 because that's just silly. Every unit in the game gets incredible veterancy bonuses not just the su85. Have you seen what a vetted scout car does to a t34? An upgunned vet 3 scout car rips though t34s like they're made of paper. I don't know if relic considered the balance of unit based on it's veterancy, but I remember reading somewhere on the official forums that unit abilities like ram or the mg42 pintle mounted machine guns aren't considered when it comes to the unit cost/balance (so I would think veterancy isn't considered either). I agree the su85 needs to be toned down w out a question, but the video proves nothing new and if balance is based around who spends more manpower than a lot of people will stop playing. It's like posting a video of a guard squad and 2 conscript squads blobbed head on into a mg42 than crying the mg42 is op because a 240 manpower unit chewed up 840 manpower with out breaking a sweat and it that case the mg42 wouldn't even require micro. Thread: Too many players left...14 Aug 2013, 02:04 AM Speaking of Warcraft I still remember how awesome Warcraft 3 was when it came out. I don't remember the exact multiplier features that were added in the expansion but the game had so much going for it; unlockable avatar system, in game chat channels with moderators, clan support, in game ladders and built in tournament system where you signed up within the game and were rewarded with unique avatars besides tons of other features. I don't even think Starcraft 2 has as many multiplayer features as Warcraft 3 did and I don't expect Coh2 to have as many as Warcraft 3 did... though I did expect there to be chat channels. Anyways it just sucks that nowadays the RTS genre has really gone down in general, very little competition between both Relic and Blizzard (Battle.net 2 is a joke). RELIC if you ever get your act together and manage to get a fraction of the DLC money that's probably all going to SEGA just look at Warcraft 3 and implement some of it's multiplayer features, trust me on this one you can't go wrong. Thread: MG42 arc13 Aug 2013, 22:20 PM Id personally be happy if the mg42 didn't automatically target the closest enemy squad but concentrated it's fire on it's original target until manually told to do so like in coh1. That combined with the length it takes for pinned squads to get back up after the mg42 stops firing is what I think makes the mg42 beastly for its cost but than again in essence it's exactly what it's supposed to be doing. I think a sight range reduction to both machine gun teams would be a really good idea actually and something that should have been done since day 1. In: COH2 Balance
