The first two lack the punch to tackle most even slightly armored units, while the latter is ineffective against single targets. Priest is no rocket artillery, but something in the middle between the Howitzer and the leFH. It's price is higher than both of those, but considering that it's mobile and packs such a punch I think it's fine. It's definitely a unit that needs to be protected more and should be fielded later than the rocket artillery, but I can't see any problems performance wise. Uh no, both the katyusha and panzerwerfer can damage tanks, especially the katyusha with the latest patch, walking stuka can bring any tank in the US arsenal on the brink of death except for the sherman. The only thing the priest does better is damage heavy tanks and considering how slow it is we're only talking about jagdtiger and elefant. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Gameplay/Balance Issues22 Jul 2014, 08:02 AM Your points are contradictory, on one hand you want cover to be even more relevant on the other you want smgs to be better, smgs weren't nerfed or anything like that, in fact some were buffed (like PPSH) and thompson are the ones with the highest dps in the game, what changed is the cover and armor mechanics wich became more important after the march patch. You want cover to be even more important? That will destroy any sort of flank or close range weapon, not to mention will make hmg play even more common. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: State of the balance according to Imperial Dane19 Jul 2014, 22:35 PM Not only is it irrelevant in a videogame like CoH, but if you really want to discuss balance from an historical point of view, every game with the US should be them blasting the opponent off the map with airstrikes and artillery, having unlimited fuel and ammo, being completely mechanized as opposed to their opponents still using mostly horses to move stuff around, the soviets would instead have 12 man conscript squads and t34s out of the ass, not to mention most squads have ppsh or SVT in the lategame and whole katyusha batteries. "Historically" you forget who won the war, it's not the allies that are being buffed for gameplay reasons compared to history, but the axis, quite a bit. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: State of the balance according to Imperial Dane19 Jul 2014, 10:51 AM How long before people realize that the whole design of OKW revolves around keeping your units alive for the lategame where the increased vet gives you an advantage? Amazing how there are people still asking for a buff to volks, they are not supposed to win against riflemen, not at long, medium or short range, they cost less, they have 2 extra levels of veterancy, they can get an AT upgrade effective throughout the game (with freezing immunity wich is a nice extra bonus).
