I wouldn't play COH or COH2 if it weren't for the random factor. It's what keeps the game interesting. It's silly to say that games are decided by random factors - this is extremely rare, and thanks to the law of large numbers the meta always evens out to have the better players winning.
If I wanted to play a spreadsheet I would play Starcraft or one of the other yawnful RTS games that I have no interest in.

I prefer playing german but almost every time I go on for a game its at least 60 - 40 german biased, so I wind up playing soviet just cause I get a game quicker. I know it does depend on ranking/where you sit on skill tables etc. but it is annoying |
if you dont see any sclown cars, then dont build any t2 vehicles, build a fuel cashe and get to t3 asap because a t70 is coming very very soon =).
Flame HT as a shock unit will delay hit teching or push him off the map though- personally I feel its worth cutting his T3 off at the knees rather than waiting for it to come out THEN counter. |

T3 (choose commander) Stug vs early T3, P4 if youre not sure, Ostwind vs inf spam or if youve denied alot of fuel, Mortar HT until:
T4: Probably should have the game sewn up by then, one way or the other.
Ost is mainly about reactionary play, without the proper counters in time you can get steamrolled. I dont stick to any BO's rigidly though, no plan survives contact with the enemy. |
Interesting replay. I did not know that stug is that good vs T-34 and KV-8. I think I will give it a chance. Btw nice micro .

If have fausts hit cover if the M3 gets microed behind something during the animation, but never missed with an AT nade |
You can place individual S mine squares if you cancel the build and it will refund you the remainder of the munis. The only problem is you have to have 80 munis banked to start building last time i checked, which isnt so cool. The S mine field is a great idea , but in competitive 1v1 its nigh on useless in its current state. Personally I'd vote for being able to lay just one square of s mines for 25 or 30 munis like the russian mine, rather than the whole field which is expensive and situationally limited. |
