Some people are really, really over reacting from the changes.
Stop looking at single buffs/nerfs and look at the factions OVERALL.
Every faction now has delayed medium/heavy tanks, with things like t70s and stuarts coming out relatively earlier and having more time to be the kings instead of the mere minutes they get in the current live patch. People complained about the LeiG and Pak howtizer costing too much, now youll see more of them. The howitzers will also see lots of use now.
But hey, some things might be OP. After a single game (and obviously I cant make a decision after one game) most of you saw how effective the new arty pieces were. Are they OP? Maybe, but the whole point of having the preview is that you can give feedback after playing and hopefully rectify some changes.
People here are saying AT balance is not the way forward.
So games where people are proficient at making use of each factions pros and cons in a team oriented manner, as opposed to the clusterfuck of 4 random dudes who may nor not be cooperating, is somehow not a good reflection of balance.
Just take a look at that for a second. You literally want to balance around people that are not playing the factions to their proper extent, and ignore those that do.
Hokay.
And NorthWeapon is right, for esports thats technically how it gets "balanced" by playing both sides, though in CSGO certain maps can be extremely one sided and this is where vetoing becomes a competition in its own way. However, in CoH that isn't necessarily perfect as it becomes boring to watch a one sided game, where as in CS the nature of two minute rounds and pistol rounds not really being decided by map balance makes it much more entertaining to watch.
If CoH 2 wants to be a good esport that is entertaining, both sides have to be balanced at an arbitrary number such as 60/40 at a bare minimum.
Something that fixes new players complaining about playing against vet 3 level 100 players or whatever.
Some of those players are also pretty garbage, but new players assume that that level 100 means those guys are the best players or something. If, at the end of the game, we had an in game representation like in vCoH of a military rank that shows the opponents skill level as opposed to their completely useless XP level, brand new players would then understand their loss a little more.
Every sale the same posts pop up on Reddit and here about "OMG level 3 prestige matchmaking is shit etc" when in reality some of those matches are actually fairly close in ELO.
