I not write often on the forums but play COH series for many years, predominantly MP.
My biggest frustration with MAPS is buildings..
Why cant heavy armor not crush fully certain wooden buildings. Sometimes I watch tank movement and think why is the tank so slow and turning so carefully in real life he would be able to go over some rubble. And where is ability for soviets to just sit on their armor?
Tank riders, so conscripts can ride with armor??
I think that now with COH2 sega should look to add the feature that heavy tanks can drive through wooden buildings and over rubble, through trees etc (even t34) could do that.
This feature will solve many problems where people write about lack of flanking capability.
Furthermore:
some Maps lack a good centre with a point which is easy recognisable, either a statue or a bigger building.
In the map selection list for 3v3 and 4v4 should more maps be added and the option given to deselect a few more.
Obviously map Hillblabla map is set up okay, but has to much mud.
Something Of topic, please tell your colleagues that I am so annoyed with some units not being able to destroy infantry at all, which is not realistic, units to be buffed or mg to be attached:
- Elefant
- Jagdpanzer
- Jackson
Also I not understand why the Thunderbolt run as a fairly expensive ability is only limited to destroy armour with, it should be allowed to target infantry with it as well.
The explosions scatter etc. of Thunderbolt run is in my opinion to humble and looks more like small modern milan or TOW rockets coming in, not as raw as it looked at that time with smoke stripes still present and huge explosions where armor got flipped over..
So I think enough to think about

Guys like you deny the real state of where COH 2 is in
Im level 67 and have played well over 100 hours
and i can tell you it will take long time before it are 1000 maybe never, because eventually people stop playing!
If there isnt good balance etc
There is no excuse for RELIC these times are over there is already a guy building a mod himself
Command and conquer will have that more solid gameplay

Sega is better of in revising this so called 'Pipeline project basis' release system.

Historically looking the elephant only main problem was the absent of a machinge gun to dust of pesky infantry.
In COH 2 the Elephant is in my opinion to slow, in real it must have been a tiny bit faster.
It are these things where relic or sega needs to pay attention on, really well balance speed of units (especially tanks).
And as prime moment:
Its attack capability

A right out JOKE
I played it on map 17 or something and i couldnt do anything with it 5 infantry kills and suddenly 3 t34 and away my hefty investment
One thing i liked about the engagement was like how in stalingrad a city environment eliminates the tactical advantage of armor
I think the tiger should get a range increase and switch between armor piercing and HE rounds
Furthermore tiger should always be able to upgrade:
- Machine gun
- Smoke
Also does Sega miss out the opportunity to make this cooler like with the old King T.
The tiger should be able to have a special button where friendly panzergrenadiers are clicked on to guard the unit
The tiger is the spearhead of any offensive also in WW2

I don't understand the changes made, why??:
Because the basics of COH are disrupted now:
- Axis is specialised army with 3 members as in vcoh
- Any nation can fire a mortar within reasonable time
Differences in balance have to be made more by looking at how infantry gets punished when NOT in cover
NOT in cover should be punished more
This creates more fixed battles around key areas
I see now to many infantry battles on plain soil.. WTF!
WTF that veterancy bullshit, stop with this superman thing, make it that a veteran squad of tank ok can aim better so maybe an infantry squad, but rather allow material upgrades
instead of this FAKE shit
IT has to be that villages are the key points to hold
I feel SEGA has a good will with this patch as they did improve some other details. But the real game mechanics to make this game more REALISTIC |

I think indeed the t34 is now to weak and does not display the treat it displayed at the time.
I think the mistake in designing this game model has been made by trying to scale it under the IS 2 and SU85
I think SEga would do well making the t34 a far more formidable main battle tank, this in return helps sega also makes is 2 and other soviet heavy armor less spamable
Even if the T70 is so light it should be able to damage tanks better especially from rear armor
I seriously think a lot need to be repatched
