My solution for maphacks: allow player to get 1-2 screenshots per game of his opponents screen. |
Only played the german campaign and the only tricky ones where Schildkroteberg and Rostov
On Schildkroteberg you just build a couple of bunkers and get out of the way of the conscripts. They can't hurt you base so you can stockpile resources. When you're ready, build T2 away from the conscripts and get a flame HT, 2 x pak and a couple of pgrens (one with AT rifle). When you're ready push the conscripts off and get ready for the next waves.
On Rostov you have to base rush go through the western egde of the map avoid the mines (you can get an early minesweeper to be safe). You should be able to take out the northern AI player with the 1st stug. Build more stugs, a P4 and a flame HT, pick the commander with the arty and base rush. I did it in 3 waves (1 stug, 2 stugs+flame ht, 2 stugs+p4+arty) alone (AI ally) |
DLC = Downloadable Content. Suffling the existing doctrine abiblities and creating new commanders contains ZERO new content to download. It's simply put anethical and abusive. It's unacceptable for me as customer.
And before anyone comes back with the cheapskate comments, I would have gladly paid a 10-20€/year subscription if that got them to support the game properly with balance fixes and new content. But paying for someone to sell me the original content back in a different order? No!
/Edit
Also, in comptetetive games, you absolutely HAVE to know how all the enemy doctrines work in order to fight back, so in essense this forces you to buy them in order to stay competitive. Kind of a pay-to-win , or pay-not-to-lose situation |
They require siily and tedious achievements to get and are useless in the long run. Badly implemented and worthless feature imo |
I heard that Quinn Duffy was designer of British faction in OF and Soviets in CoH2, if that's really true, well OP, you nailed it
This is actually scary if it's true... |
If you're referring to the veterancy balance changes.
Prior to the 13th, the amount of veterancy awarded to units was biased towards receiving damage, 75% to 25%. With the patch on the 13th, it leveled this out to 50/50. With today's patch, it swings the other direction with a 75/25 bias for inflicting damage.
You're wrong, 50-50 was before the 13th when it changed to 75-25. Today's changelog is copy-paste
13th:
Veterancy Change:
- Rates changed from 50%/50% (Damage applied / received damage) to 75%/25%.
20th:
Veterancy Change:
- Rates changed from 50%/50% (Damage applied / received damage) to 75%/25% |
I am wrong or are all the balance changes in the Jun 20 Patch already included in the Jun 13 Patch? |
Eh, if your micro isn't that bad, it's pretty easy just to stop by the nearest fire before you freeze to death.
I didn't say it wasn't possible, they could make you have to stop fighting and cook hot soup for all I care, the point is gives the wrong incentives. |
Eh, you only have to idle near a campfire for like 5 seconds to get all your warmth back.
Warmth yes, health or squad members no. My point is that it gives you a counter-incentive on executing manouveurs and makes it more safe to camp arount campfires and cover when it should be the other way around. |
Run them over. Really try it. It works quite phenomenally well.
Noticed that as well, it's super effective asp with PIV. |
