Man its just cringeworthy to read a discussion like this. So many people pouring oil on the fire, claiming they want "better balance" whereas in fact they only play one faction exclusively.
German players want the Panther buffed, Soviet players say it's fine. There's just so little people here that actually truly want better balance instead of just crying for buffs of their beloved army.
Amen, this post pretty much sums up my feeling. |
Maxim just gets riflenaded in the face. Its ok as support but when you're facing 3 grens with LMGs you can't rely on a Maxim. Lucky molotovs and snipers (with Guard doctrine to follow) or lucky molotovs and Shock (with T2) seems best but Shock are fairly easy to counter (pio flamer even) and you're only going to be able to afford one squad.
This forces a manpower for munition trade. Keep that in mind. |
PPSSH upgrade costs 20 munition, LMG cost 60. PPSSH comes in to the game later than LMG can.
20 muni + Molly can easily beat a LMG gren squad, if he sees the animation and moves away he loses alot of dps, just cancel the animation, and start throwing it away. Either he has to re-position again and lose substantial amount of DPS or get hit by the Molly, losing substantial amount of DPS aswell. (Might crit, instakilling one squad member, and nevertheless he will need to move the Grenadier squad.) |
STUG is worth it if you had a tough early game and your enemy is pushing out t70's / t34's.
If you know that your opponent is going SU85 and skipping T3 (through scouting, etc)
Dont go for STUG.
Usually its just better going for a P4, the fuel difference isnt that much of an deal anyway. |
I barely ever see any Panthers in my 1v1 games as Soviets, if i do, i mostly have most of the map and already have counters out by then.
I never use them in 1v1. The risk/reward ratio is too damn low. |
MGs still very useful.
As stated in the reason for the change, you can't use it as a front line unit anymore.
Screen it with Grens and you will be fine. You can't just a-move to their cut off with it (which you could in the past). I'm on a 27 streak with Osteer many of which are this patch and I use MGs every game - player name Ozena.
This guy is pretty good and i recommend that you upload some replays for the community. |
You mean it uses the integrated graphics chip? My laptop has a hybrid system, so I have to switch between the dedicated and the integrated chip. I wouldn't know how the game could use the integrated one, while the dedicated one is selected.
haha, I do have one, but I'm studying aboard and I don't intend on lugging my desktop around.
I have no fucking clue about laptops.
Edit: Added a smiley to seem nicer. |
Optimization also needs some attention. I mean, I'm playing on a i7 2670 quadcore, 6gb ram and a 6770m, and even on minimum settings at 720p, the game starts to lag when the action gets intense. :/
Then the game is probably not recognizing your GPU and is using the CPU to render. Read up on it, there are fixes and ways to force CoH2 to use your laptops GPU.
Other then that, sheesh man be a real gamer and get a stationary.
A friend of mine had this issue with his GeForce Titan. Some non-AAA titles didnt recognize his GPU, and used the CPU instead. |
Its also most of the part an ping issue, your computer/bandwidth doesnt matter. You will have less input lagg when playing someone in your vicinity compared to someone far away from your place. CoH2 is P2P, read up on that ^^
Its probably an engine issue and is usually pretty hard to fix. CoH1 is really nice input MS and i want it to be the same like that in CoH2.
There was a huge amount of flame about this about HoN -> Dota2, in which Dota2 had a huge input lag compared to HoN. |
