In my opinion, they either need to come in 5 man or come in much cheaper to be more viable than currently and have either the grenade have a shorter cooldown from the call-in or an "ambush" stat that lasts a few seconds after emerging
Unless you get 2 comets, use it like a slightly better Cromwell, namely against infantry, it can hold its own against panzer 4 and panther if you got nearby AT guns however it is more focused at infantry still
The firefly is meant to be the british TD so unless you give the comet buffs or buff the firefly, there would be no late game tank counters other than the 6 pdrs which are limited mobility wise
I agree brits need an alternative infantry, perhaps a unit from the colonies e.g. India, poorly trained supporting inf secs performing slightly better than conscripts due to their weapons and assuming nothing changes about the brits at the moment, come in 5 man and bolster allows it to become 6 man but loses cover bonus, possible 6th model could be an officer that boosts the squads by coming with a self healing med kit for 10 to 20 muni because of the fuel cost of bolster with a cooldown time for it being comparable to grens and only working out of combat
However on the note of infantry sections themselves they need to be the obers for brits, but ramp up from from the start to the level of obers to prevent brits dominating early game, so a suggestion would be to with building unlocks increase the accuracy, lowering their starting accuracy similar to how mortars are locked behind the first building upgrade, this will still allow them to compete with grenadiers when in cover and volks.
I understand some of this might be a flawed idea however I am open to suggestions on any way this can be improved as a suggestion
Obers would become better panzergrens if 2 regular STGs are added to their IRSTG upgrade, with better accuracy and lower received accuracy and not to mention 5 vet levels
Personally I'd say Inf Secs are in an ideal place, although not a fan of the damage/accuracy changes, I understand why it was done and it keeps them viable from early to late game.
I see rework suggestions for how pyrotechnics and meds and limiting them to 1 weapon upgrade, I think that would be counter-productive especially if you remove the cover bonus unless you make their stats the cover bonus or near it. For now, keep them as they are unless another faction is getting a major rework as they are still prone to early assault troops, assault grens and sturmpios with the assault upgrade being 70 muni preventing any early counters however beating grens out in 9/10 cases.
I understand some of what I say may be flawed as I am not a major axis player however I have a good feel for the UKF
