Overall I think the changes that made it are the ones I agreed with. Glad relic is keeping the mod from going a tad overboard. They did miss some good changes however but I can't complain. I prefer fewer changes at a time as opposed to loads all at once. Thank-you relic for staying fairly conservative with the changes
I still disagree with the elephant and pwerfers changes. Funny how the nerfs to Pwerfer and elephwnt came through but not the buffs .
Very happy about the maximum buff and dhsk/penal nerf. I wish SU mortar got its buff tho.
Good changes to Brit mortar.
Good change to Jackson as well.

Thread: KV1-Useless?8 Jul 2017, 19:18 PM
The KV1 is a heavily armored T34, more or less. Get SU85s and use the KV1 as a spotter or a meat shield since that's pretty much what you need it for. The main point of this commander is the B4, which is only useful if the opponents were stupid enough to not pick a commander with recon and Stuka Bombing Strike. There are only three Ostheer commanders that have recon and stuka bombs and only one of those is meta. OkW doesn't have either. However it's counter by more than just stuka dive bomb In: COH2 Gameplay |

And ranks would be slightly different too. Honestly my least favorite part of coh2. In: COH2 Balance |

The Soviet commanders should act like the Communists they are and take some suppression from the dhsk and give it to the maxim In: COH2 Balance |

If they didn't have such terrible optimization such that people crash everyday then maybe this could be a thing.but that's not happening. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Relic wanted feedback for CoH1 vs CoH24 Jul 2017, 23:25 PM
It's called wisdom, Hooli. Most of the questions asked in the OP were answered specifically and in great detail back during the COH2 beta in these very forums. Marcus and I personally gathered and organized a group of top COH1 players and community contributors to provide feedback before the launch of COH2. Our private feedback forums are still there to see as a log of this interaction, and Relic can still access them. Doesn't relic have a number of new employees working there now? Would you give them a chance and not making the same as others? In: Lobby |
Thread: [2vs2] Ostheer still can't compete1 Jul 2017, 13:30 PM
The problem with ostheer is that they lack aggression without vehicles. Early game aggressive ostheer play requires either g43s, double 222s or a flame Half-track that the enemy isn't prepared for. Mid game aggression requires medium tanks which means p4 since stug can't pressure infantry at all and ostwind sewers you when they get a medium tank. Late game means brummbarr, Pwerfer and panthers which is where ostheer starts to shine but in 1s it's nearly impossible to get to. In 2s it's hard but more doable with an OKW mate or if ost ally went heavy t3. In team games ALL of ostheers aggression is hard countered by the allied TDs with 60 range when they reach critical mass and force a retreat before you can take a shot. And your reward for not losing your tank is getting to enjoy the longest repair times with the least efficient and task burdened engineers in the game. When I play Ostheer in team games I more often than not find myself getting an elephant and pwerfers since I can strike back without getting ruined by allied meta. TLDR: ost relies on vehicles for aggression, Allies have loads of counters to all tanks (they need it to compete with okw armor) and ost repair times are really bad. 1v1 meta is callins and t3, team game meta is t4 and elephant to find some form of aggression. Another possibility is using lefh to counter allied rocket artillery and TD spam but make sure they can't kill it. That's my analysis of ostheer. Ostheer does well with okw since they provide the hammer you can attack with. Ostheer is turtle play and okw is more aggressive so they function well together. In: COH2 Balance |

I think it's biggest problem is it's insane moving accuracy which allows it to often snipe the first hmg model and walk past it. In: COH2 Balance |

I feel like killing the OKW schwere hq will be the deciding factor in so many games... Even more than it is now since it's required for kt In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: Why so many people play german27 Jun 2017, 00:00 AM
That strategy works for me. If you can't pull it off try something else Regarding JT and Elephant, I never build panthers to support my elephant or JT but my Allies always seem to spam panthers so I typically spam pwerfers when I get and elephant. And no i don't regard the JT and Elephant as weak at all. I think they are over powered on certain maps and fairly useless on others. You seem to disagree with everything I say which I find amusing In: COH2 Balance |
