I think I like it the way it is now because it felt so weird last patch with the up gun just kinda did nothing to infantry. I like the new scout car although believe it should be more expensive maybe an increase in manpower by 30-50. It is vulnerable to mines, AT grenades and guards. The scout car wouldn't be much of a problem if the other aspects were more balanced. (Flanking)
Oh and rifle nade refund so you have way more munitions available as germans if you choose to use that.
Did they not make the rifle nade more expensive? I don't think everyone has the moment every game where they decided against the rifle nade after using it. I also wouldn't call 25 muns way more. Maybe I am missing the point here? Don't know if it was this patch or the last but the 1v1 balance is too in favour of the germans. (early game)
The mistake he made is running too much.
The conscripts were never really shooting because two thirds of the time they were facing away from the MG. He ran around too much, allowing the mg to rotate with them in packed up state.
Instead, you have to make the mg set down, then run through it (not so far as he did), then focus fire it, then when it tries to set down run through it again.
However, he mentioned huge input lag so this may have been a factor as well when the connection between the two players was very slow. If the connection is good, the input lag isn't as bad normally.
I fail to see how this would have been different for a Soviet MG though. After all they pack up instantly and still set down very quickly even with the patch.
I know people don't like using molotovs because they can be dodged (by grens) but I think people haven't used them to their full potential yet. In cases such as this, a single molotov will solve the situation very well.
agreed I'd rather flank an MG42 than a maxium, you have molotovs and MG42 is slow to pack up & set up.
The german halftrack base damage of the MG42 has been reduced? (or have I miss read) Was that necessary, the soviet satchel charge needs to be looked into, it's faster then MG42 pack up time and so even if they pack up they die before getting out of its range. Also thanks for the info
Compared to the old 88 - this unit is pretty boring - however devastating it may be. Being able to AUTO rotate is something that would set it aprt from other units. And everything in this game is too similar at this point.
Babysitting units like that isn't fun imo. Just like babysitting infatry to vault isn't either. Bring a little more AUTO - so we can focus on the bigger picture.
The game is about being able to do all these things at once. That's what makes it competitive. If you don't want to babysit units play campaign. I'm sure they give you some straight forward objectives. If you take away micro-management of units it will just be down to more luck then skill and with the competitive play for this game looking good that's the last thing relic wants to change.
