It was so fun to see in the loading screen "oh crap it's a lvl 14 and i'm 12, i'll try my best strategy or try something he don't expect ?" THIS made a lot for the pleasure of competing against an opponent, having the stress to loose your rank or to beat the best. You fought for something that you could be proud of, moreover, it make people more attached to this game, as everyone knows how it's an addictive thing to want to promote. |

I'm wondering if the new expansion "focused on multiplayer" will feature rank badges ? Cause it made all the feeling to know that you beat someone of higher level, or loose to a challenger under you, it was all the flavor of competitive matches. In order to please every style of playing this game, comp stompers or players in customs can still have their badges lvl 20 without the 1v1 or 2v2 etc. sign. It would add, I think, a great move towards the competitive community which quite promote the game the most. Without hurting anyone.

Hi there, quite a simple interrogation :
I have a qosmio X500 with i7 at 2,9Ghz / GT460M with 1,5GB of memory / 6gb of RAM
But i have like 25 fps in my games with a resolution of 1600x900ish and everything on low.
Do i have a problem with my discrete IGPU on the i7 that takes the place of the GT460 or is the last one is just pure crap ? Cause i don't think its the i7 that bottleneck here. Cause it runs all other recent games quite decently but Coh2 is hurting as hell...

That is so reflecting the game industry mentality right now : who cares for those frames ? How can this have even passed the beta test ? I mean, relic would have made even more money if they made a game focusing on ... playing it, not looking at it. (and talking about graphics, i ran vCoh in ultra smooth, and with the same rig, i can run coh 2 all low, with stutters, and the graphics look the same)
And for candy in the game, why no badges ? I mean, was i the only one wanking at those shiny badges displayed in ladders and in loading ? |
Oh god... And i imagine that it's more important to develop new games, new commanders, rather than just giving us a vCoH like ladder with rank and badges display on loading, and an input that dont last 1 second... |
Is it only me or the units back in vCoh were pretty responsive, but are slow as hell here ? I mean there is like a 1 second delay (which is enormous) between the click and the unit movement. Mix this with the shitty man placement : you click to move the squad, it takes one second for the first movement, but only three men moves, then 2 sec later the 4rd one sprint to rejoin his comrades. This is just so frustrating, quite as much as units moving by themselves out of covers when they are stationary and firing, without having orderer to move... |
This game have enough balance problem in competitive 1v1, for newbies comp stompers and "panther spammers" to start saying bull*** about 4V4...
Most of the comment unveil that you guys are either playing another game, of talking of matches between noobs in 4v4 where everyone camp waiting for a panther spam or a elephant spam. 1v1 needs to be balanced, and loosing FOR SURE a vet 3 squad upgraded without ANY chance of survival just because you didn't have 2 panzer 4 between each infantry unit is imba thats all.
Of course you can kill this shit, but its just too resistant/too effective on retreat squads |
Elephant dont rape tanks like KV-8 rapes infantry (mutatis mutandis). I'm getting quite tired to see people that dont actually play at a real level of skill telling me to "don't charge KV8 with infantry". You don't say ? I can tell you that before posting here, i've faced infantry instant retreat and death SEVERAL times. In a strategy game every unit have its power and its weakness but as i would just tone a bit the flamer power, its mainly the armor and hp of this shit that i'm crying about. Elephant is good against tank, but as soon as you get circled its over. KV8 played by a decent opponent (no, average 2V2 4V4 etc. players are NOT very good players) will just hit and back, and as you can't slow it with faust, and you can't poke it with tanks (don't tell me "easily you can shoot it with 3 elephants", please) this unit have a BALANCE problem. It just have much more advantages than weakness, thats the exact definition of balance problem. |
