Coldtechs' impact on gameplay was negative and thus it was removed, however, a purely visual element like a sandstorm that didn't hinder gameplay could be interesting.
More (purely visual) weather effects would be pretty great, certainly. I'd love for there to be rain, sandstorms, etcetera on various maps, obviously so long as it doesnt impact gameplay. |
Agreed with this. If you want to see a good example of the balance team being biased look at how crappy the Churchill Avre is in comparison to the SturmTiger.
To be fair, this was quite the opposite for the longest time. |
I will say give usf At gun in both tech path, either lieu or cap, if you go lieu you should be able to get the AT only. Same for soviet,if they go T1 they should be able to tech only get the zis.
I just don't know that Medics are really equivalent to AT guns. Not going for the battlegroup already locks you out of your mortar, which I would argue is far more equivalent to not being able to access an AT gun, or MG.
Medics feels more like a "core" mechanic, like repairing vehicles or reinforcing. It's not /quite/ as vital as either of those, but it comes pretty close. |
I imagine that the commander system will be more a mix of Coh1 and CoH2, in that you will still be choosing commanders, but within those commanders are the trees shown earlier in the thread.
The fact they were specific about stating that "everyone will have access to the same tools" leaves me hopeful that Commanders and similar will /not/ be subject to Microtransactions. |
Ok, but it looks NOTHING like a Pak43, not to mention its impossible to move one by hand or horse.
Well, yes, because its just a placeholder using the PAK-40 model. |
Greetings community,
I've got two words for you, weather elements. They need to return.
Introducing Sandtech in The North African front maps would be an excellent addition to give a player a taste of fighting in the desert. Randomly timed, sand events could reduce visibility and perhaps movement speed. Do you want a flank on that MG42 but don't have a smoke? Wait for the storm. Are you looking to launch a spearhead attack through the front lines? Wait for the storm.
It is time.

No thanks, Coldtech was an awful system, and "Sandtech" would similarly be terrible. I'd like far less RNG, not more.
Imo they won't ever return outside of special campaign mission because MUH COMPETITIVE NO RNG ENVIORNMENT notion that pushed the feature out of mp in coh2, don't count on elements removed here to return in 3.
RNG like this is bad and only very casual players enjoy it... and then not even they universally like getting randomly shafted by the game. |
I don't see any reason this SHOULDNT be a feature in CoH3, honestly. I dont believe there's any skill added by uncertainty regarding suppression, whereas a suppression "meter" of some type would let people make much more informed decisions about their actions.
Its likely worth suggesting this on the CoH3 alpha forum. |
They certainly hide from me.
Heh. Nothin personnel... Kraut... |
Black prince is a vehicle that is in the UK Motor Pool.
It is, in fact, not in the UK motor pool.
You cannot simply requisition unfinished prototypes for frontline use. That isnt how it works. |
If this is it, then I am going to delete the 2nd id of mine and play other stuff by the time.
It's pretty obvious that you're going to get banned again if you try to circumvent your ban with a second account. What could possibly make you think otherwise?
Feel free to play whatever else you want, you've clearly been banned for a good reason, if your posts are anything to go by, so I doubt anyone will be bothered about you being gone. |
