+ obviously it can only shoot in one place at a time so even with 2 squads you can usually beat it. Just mind those assualt pioneers behind the green cover waiting in ambush for you to do just that... they bite pretty hard early on |
It would be nice if grenades actually did more than 1/10th damage to one. I mean that would be an additional counter IMO, especially if they just blew it up outright, it can still drive away.
Sturm Pio blobs early, with Kubel seem very hard to beat as US atm. Combine that with the truck stuff and its almost always an early GG. Depends on the map though, because if they blob up on a big open map you can just avoid the blob early and cap everything else.
Mid/Late game its np I agree, the game becomes fairly balanced. Getting there can sometimes prove a challenge.
I would say that good use of an early utility car is a great counter, you just need to get that fuel advantage early enough.

Best use I have seen of sturm pios was in a 1 v 1 where a player engaged me with some flak support causing a heavy retreat and his sturmpios were already positioned at retreat cutoff. they annihilated all survivers and it was GG.
you can argue thats good play. yes! its also pretty frustrating for me. I cannot do anything near the same with US, it just has to be that boring grind down gameplay of overwelming firepower in places with a massive cap push on the break.
OKW just seem to dominate somehow when the right player is using them. |
You cannot guarantee that. RNG is RNG. Do you understand? That is the problem.
There is a very good chance that some items will NEVER drop, and the fact you can get duplicates means even in a system where you are guaranteed a drop, there's still a stupidly large chance you won't get what you want.
Do you understand that? That is the problem with the system.
I never had a problem with paying for commanders. My problem was they were overpriced and poorly balanced. Please stop using it as a defense for a flawed system.
It's like saying "hey you used to pay for these extras on your car, but now you might get some by luck of the draw! isn't that awesome? Oh right your car came with none of them and your friend got all of them, LOL K THNX BYE" Even better : "Drive your car more! It might get more extras or it might get worn out even faster! Isn't that awesome?"
you are wrong. think about flipping a coin. it is also totally random but what result will you get after 100 flips of that coin. Most likely 50/50.
If you want to know why this happens study statistics... |
I like the new system. I can see drop rates changing as more items become available. We are literally 2 days into the game and you are moaning about not having things that are supposed to last as an incentive to play for the next few months/ years.
If they just gave it to you straight out, along with everyone else... would you be happy? |
if the soviet goes T1 for cars etc then you should just rush T2 then see how balanced the game becomes....
all I am saying is that there are so many variable approaches to playing the game, I can't see it ever being more 'balanced'.
realistically all that can be done is being done, kinda. |
If they started out now by explaining some of the new stuff and lifting NDA letting us watch but not play, that may help... |
73. Despite horses being the most used transport of the war, they didn't actually exist.
74. Shreks and Fausts were equiped with homing devices.
75. T70 commanders had exceptional vision, but only if they killed hundreds of Germans first...
76. A halftrack contains an unlimited number of replacements within its cargo area.
77. Tiger tanks never actually broke down or ran out of fuel or anything silly. They were just tactically inferior to soviet armour...
78. Sherman tanks won the war for the Red army. |
I'm not really sure what you want to know. To me the videos available seem to show the game enough. The NDA is a good thing because it stops us being mis-informed or mis-assuming certain things.
Anyway, you can't play it for another two weeks, so why is buying it now going to make a difference? There will be more before then, you can be certain of that. |
I like the t70 recon mode. I use it a lot.
My only 'Solution' to this would be to give more units LoS improvements and recon modes for more vehicles. To be fair in real life you cant see shit inside a tank, so its pretty realistic. Jeeps etc could be more useful.
It also makes use of the true sight which looks so so good, but isn't used to its max potential in my belief.
If infantry had more LoS it might be another reason to use combined arms. I know at the moment this works, but it would be even better if it worked to a greater extent. I had a lovely engagement using the T70 recon and inf and at guns to fight against a mechanised german assualt on langres 1v1. When the halftrack blew up in the middle to smoke billowed out and covered my LoS on his P4, which was cool. I had to maneuver my T70 and inf to get the LoS back and that was all down to the true sight. If we didnt have the T70 recon, it wouldn't have been the same.
