I still would be interested to see engineers reduced to two men per squad, and pioneers three men, for 100mp and 150mp respectively. There'd be reason to build them, especially for the Soviet side, to provide additional capping power to be annoying in garrisons.
Considering the Soviets get the individual mine for 7 munitions, I'm not sure if the Germans should get it for 20 munis. |
You can see it coming by very low presence of infantry. Usually it's 2 squads of conscripts and unit of Combat Engineers. There will be no support weapons in the early stage of the game.
You don't have to pick the commander till after you get three-four conscripts out, which is (judging from the industry users I've played against) the standard modus operandi. Four -five conscripts is usually the standard early composition of the soviets anyway, so I wouldn't call it a low infantry presence. |
Why not have the resource cut-off take place instantly upon pressing the Tiger Ace button, but have the Ace itself only actually reach the battlefield within a certain amount of time (3-5 minutes?) That way it would actually cost something up-front to a certain degree. Perhaps there could be, as you suggested, a warning to the Soviet player at the same time.
Can't say I've had much experience with the TA though, haven't seen it ingame yet. |
I've been finding howitzers very useful, but it is very difficult to scrape up 600 manpower at any point in the game unless I'm way ahead or way behind. There just is too much that needs to be built, and in the late game fuel often isn't a problem. 600MP is just prohibitively expensive.
I'd like to suggest adding some sort of fuel cost to the howitzer in exchange for a manpower cost reduction. Say, for example, 450MP/60F. |

The folder EliteMod is in /common/Company of Heroes Relaunch, and I've added the -mod elitemod to the target of the shortcut, but it isn't starting up. Nothing appears, and the coloured band around the steam profile picture which denotes online/ingame flashed from blue to green momentarily before turning blue again. Any help? |
I haven't faced the Tiger Ace myself, but from what I understand the best solution would be mining the base entrance(s) since the Ace will invariably base-rush (can't win protracted engagements with no income). |
Just had a game vs Industry. Wasn't the quickest of T70s, especially since I had map control. It was pretty obvious what was coming, so I picked the free doc with the 250HT and swapped out the LMG grens for shrecked Pgrens. They killed 3-4 T70s over the course of the game, and ended the game by taking out a KV2 bombarding my P4 command tank.
My opponent wasn't the best, given that he'd lost two(?) squads charging the P4 command tank trying to take it out. Still, the map was Kholodony Winter and I was on the right side (no munition control for most of the game). If the map had more munitions I'd have had an easier time saving for Pshrecks. |
