Pershing is much better on the move and against moving targets.
So shooting stationary straight on dont tell the story.
Seriously i dont get what more to buff the pershing? I guess remove the CA buffs and gives it back 960hp. We can test that. But being so mobile and high armor, it is tough for ost to counter such a pershing.

You said it got target size buff and "harder to hit" but it is not the case here. And tge change dont help the tank more durable since the numer of shot to kill is still the same.
maybe i got confused, thought for infantry dmg reduction is like target size.
but the main point is, this helps pershing/usf theme without any negative loss. /shrug

It is a dmg reduction modifier, not a RA decrease. The tank lose 160hp and gain dmg reduction so it can tank EXACLY the same amount of shot while being faster ro repair. The tank dont become any more durable since it still take 6 shot to kill it.

The Firefly has increased base damage that does not really help much vs mediums (unless you can snare), but reduces the shots needed against heavies. The damage bonus with vet improves again vs both targets. Another notable thing is that the mid distance is 45 meters instead of the expected 30. Combined with high mid penetration the Firefly has better penetration at most ranges than the Jackson for example. AT least until the Jackson vets up.
The tulips again feed into the anti heavy role, since those are easier to hit and do not run away that quickly. The ROF is one of the slowest in the game, which is compensated by higher damage. (Jackson needs almost 7 seconds to reload too, Firefly 8,375).
The only difference between the PaK40 and the 6 pounder is the vet1 ability (apart from maybe some vet, not 100% sure). I personally think these are the best ATGs since I do not like the muni sink of the 57mm. But other player's have other opinions and that's fine, I am not the be all end all reference for CoH2.
FF also have tank commander to make its sight 45, combines perfect with its 45 mid range attacks. |
I guess for those who main usf, would make you happier if Pershing retains its 160hp extra and still get the target size buff, but remove the CA buffs and pop cap decrease?
though i use pershing in more open maps with buildings in 2v2. It is more supplement for Usf, since vetted rifles + jackson does the trick. vaux farmland is great map for pershing.

Pershing is the only heavy that did NOT had speed vet and what it got is half of what others get.
Where would be a patch note for that? Because it most certainly isn't in the current log.
Reload is not really a buff, but a compensation for another stat that diminishes actual value, which other heavies don't suffer. Its a fix, not a buff.
Its going back to being premium med instead of actual heavy, so yeah, its going to be skirmisher instead of brawler.
The patch note say Pershing loses 160hp but gains harder to hit, which helps in getting it back earlier without losing its surviving in battle.
Pershing is now faster, in and out of battle, and with a cp decrease, fitting its theme. USF theme. It can brawl fine in 2v2. Seems all round buff to me.

I forgot the patch note, but pershing is not only getting a speed buff, but at vet2 instead of 3. Other buff like smaller target size protect it from Shrek up to elefant. Then with the reload buffs, ability buff and even havp buff. Sure it loses 160hp.
Lol it got bigger positive changes than my suggestions. It's going to be boss in 2v2 imo. It's going to run in and gun out. Smashing all axis med tanks and dueling well with panthers and circling tigers just fine |
I will give pershing an acceleration buff at vet3, to 2.2 from 2. Panther vet3 accel is 2.4 while Tiger vet3 is 1.8.
This should make pershing clearly better on the move and imo better than tiger in 2v2
Pershing is very good tank in 2v2, not good for 4v4 because you better off building extra jackson in 4v4.
likewise, in 4v4, it is not recommended to build tiger. Get a jp4 or stall for Elefant etc. |
