Problem is that in some countries symbols like swastika (in nazi context) or sicle and hammer are forbbiden.
From my POV the way how they showed Soviets Union was quite accurate.

i think you mistake zarok the maxim master with VonIvan sir and VonIvan is on top with SU you can easily check it by the ladder secondly he doesn't main maxim spam Basically he main anything that are non meta. so starting resources for okw is 690 and no need for early tier vs 570-160 = 410. Earlier unlock of absolute'y every unit type in adition to that.

DevM is top seeded player in the game. VonIvan is, what, 20th? 10th, tops? And with his Maxim spam abuse nerfed, he lost some of his big advantage.

It should be doctrinal and put on a cmdr + tier4. A way to good unit to be non doctrinal. It can even have smoke. This alone can win match. All formats.

Wrong. It needs a lot of support and it's hard to get both it and a panther. By the time you've managed that, the allies have a ton of mediums.

PS Skill nades are as easily dodged as regular nades due to the animation. Flame nades the same. Your troops will tell you when to move. But really we're talking about small arms, not nades and other micro tips and tricks. Try to focus, you'll understand better. |
You really want to honestly try to argue that a zook or piat blob is better than a volkshreck blob was? Because it's not. Volks when they had the shrecks would hit vet5 (which rifles and tommies don't even have) super fast, especially if someone fielded light vehicles, so their kar98s would make gen able to hold out against even single bar rifles in some cases. They are also cheaper than rifles, and only lose 20% of the squad's firepower as opposed to 40 for double zook rifles (because a single zook won't do shit). Also, shrecks are unarguably the far superior weapon compared to zooks and piats, and against the allies' generally lower armor (shermans, t34s, cromwells compared to okw p4, panther, and vetted ost equivalents), they have a much larger chance of penning their targets than zooks even at max range. Piats missed a lot, and tommies suck when you don't micro them. Nuff said about that. All this combined made volkshrecks a unit that could fight literally anything with very little skill involved.

But I didn't say that zooks etc were as good shreks.
Am saying they cause a similar problem. Handheld AT blob is an option for the allies and they shut down the axis mediums pretty well. The argument that Volks were shutting down allied mediums was valid. But almost the same thing is happening with zooks, piat blobs.
I agree, zooks aren't as lethal and they won't deal with the heavy tanks like shreks did. But still, it's mainline infantry able to shut down medium tanks when it should be the other way round. |
Thank god other people noticed this too... OKW is just ridiculously on the first 5 minutes of the game, you can't output the same firepower because their units are cheap and too strong. OKW have almost no manpower problems beside teching. If you don't wipe a few squads on the 5-15 minute mark you are doomed late game with the terminators volks
also, another question for the list: Why the hell OKW STILL have salvage?!
Tommies, Riflemen, Penals all have better damage output than Volks and can all be upgraded with handheld AT even though volks had their shreks removed 'cos "Not fair to have blob countering their hard counter". But it's ok that allies can have it. #Alliedfanboylogik
To me it seems that really only conscripts fare badly vs Volks. So perhaps something should be done about that. All other mainline infantry outperforms them in terms of power and functionality. |
How do you feel the new USF mortar?
I played some USF games lately and I had the feeling it couldn't hit anything in all the games I did.
I had it quite close from a buidling and ask to fire at it and simply missed it half of the time. I mean it wasn't even able to touch a building at mid range and on vision.
I had it just behind my rifles and firing at volks/sturm standing on no cover/red cover on a road and it didn't kill/damage anything during all the fight.
I had it firing at garrisoned building and it simply never kill any model on the building. It took 3-4 barrages to get the squad half life inside.
Those are only examples, moments I saw in live being like "what are you doing fu.king mortar!!". I thought it could simply be bad luck but in fact, in a 10 games raw I didn't feel any moment the mortar performed well enough for the investment. I get it several time to vet3 indeed but it never had a critical impact, just doing some AOE damage randomly during the game lenght till vet3.
As opposed, I also played some Ostheer games and used the mortar and regularly kill 1-2 models per shell and some time almost all the squad.
I'll say "as usual" the Ostheer mortar performs well and it can't be bad luck if when I play Ostheer my mortar does well and when I play USF it doesn't...
I personally came to the conclusion the USF mortar became quite useless unless having some lucky moments, only good for smoke shell.
So I went back for the pak howi and get this impact a support weapon should deliver when you use it.
Now I know the USF mortar was overperforming before, I was playing intensively Ostheer during all that time but I have the impression it went from OP to useless...

what i am saying is that it's the same for everyone, whatever the faction or even map side.
one side got a building near its cutoff, but the other got a longer distance to reach middle vp (just an exemple)
at the end, it's always the same issue : Adapt or whine but whining won't make you win.
Blizzards were also the same for everyone. People complained until they were removed and thank god they were. They spoiled gameplay.
The claim here is that buildings are spoiling gameplay.
If everyone took your advice, there'd be no complaints and no improvements. So stop whining about people raising important issues.
