What is not fun is losing full health squads here and there because of demo charges placed in capping circles or next to buildings. This is especially annoying when you are playing OKW because your sweeper squads are super expensive and have TERRIBLE detection radius so you are bound to miss demos on a regular basis. To make matters worse, your OKW squads often have an expensive munitions upgrade that you will also lose to a demo. (post made with the philosophy "blobbing has to go but demo isn't the solution") Wish more people'd pay attention to ol' Aerohank. he's a very soviet player too, not an axis fan. Demo has gotta go! It's ugly. There are better possible solutions for anti-blobbing mechanics. I don't much sympathise with blobbing players but in the second video and the guy is barely out of his base. For all you "stop blobbing" posters out there, please post several replays where your troops are always adequately spaced when walking through a forest behind the 25% line of the map. (watch the guy's face closely from 3 seconds to 7 seconds, that's what I call "chumpish glee". Excessive enjoyment of something cheesy at another's expense) In: COH2 Gameplay

Edit: And the whole myth has developed from scrubs shouting RNG after they lose even though they're not even close to a level where RNG decides games. It's the same with all the BLOB cry babies. Sure, when players lose they may feel an exaggerated sense that RnG cost them the game. Unfortunately, I'm painfully aware that RnG has not cost me any games, just my own bad play. I suppose most of my RnG complaints are fixable by changing squad-clumping. mortar one-shots might go away if not that for that. So I agree you with that probably RnG is not such a serious issue. I have another feeling about blobs - I think it spoils the gameplay. That's a matter of taste though. If you're into blobbing up, then you'll probably be enjoying CoH2 very much. People play Hearthstone professionally. Dota 2, the second-largest competitive game right now, has entire heroes designed around RNG. Saying a game can't be taken seriously because it has random elements is absurd. There are a lot of issues keeping CoH2 from being taken seriously on a large scale, but randomness in gameplay isn't one of them, and getting upset at people for taking the game seriously is entirely counterintuitive. The more people who take the game seriously, the better it is for the health of the game overall. I think people are complaining because it is TOO random. This is why the World Poker Tour doesn't use wildcards or jokers. That would add an unacceptably high level of randomness. I agree RnG has its place in CoH but not in its current form. I was referring to several other threads, sorry I wasn't clear on that. Check the demo thread for posts by various good players like Hans and Aerohank and others. They explain why demo is spoiling the game and Katitof blithely ignored them. There are other examples too, if you look, you will see them often. I'm not saying that I'm top, I'm somewhere in the middle, sure. But if you wanna tell me that HHans is mediocre, I dunno what to say. In: COH2 Gameplay

I have not played much OKW games coz they are boring and repetitive. And I play as Soviets most of the time, thus i am a bit biased towards them. However, specialy in 2v2 matches, demos seem to be the only way to deal with the the blob. It was a bit Harry Potterish but still, he's done well to learn English and saying revealiarmus doesn't detract from his point Also, what porn movies are you watching? (o_0) I'm unfortunately also stuck to playing one faction which leaves me somewhat blinb the pain of the opposing armies having to deal with OKW OP things. Still, I consider complaints about OKW and I hope you'll at least consider the argument being presented against demo. It might be the case that Demo is the only/best way to deal with blobs. As such, the argument for removing demo should certainly be edited to add in new anti-blob units. I would like to see other options that are very effective vs blobs but not so effective vs individual units. That would punish blobbing without punishing standard CoH playstyle. While expensive, the Katyusha is a great punisher of blobs and the doctrinal strafe is nice too. Still I think the game needs more blob-counters for all armies. Just not demo. In: COH2 Balance
