They must all be playing single player because the last automatch I tried had 7 people in it.
From these data, I make the assumption that the ratio of casual to competitive players is 3,000 to 1. Well disregarding connectivity, time zones etc. |
Oh! There are 21,000 people playing Coh2 on steam today. Coh2 just beats Garry's mod, whatever that is. |
Relic assured us, any DLC would not be pay to win. Multiple times. Over and over. And only of cosmetic nature, which would not affect gameplay. I don't remember who said it or the exact wording, but it felt like a promise to me. Something like saving playtime to unlock stuff earlier. Something like they could not stress it enough and we couldn't be surer of it or they wouldn't lose any sleep over it or something. Maybe Quinn Duffy said something like that? I don't know.
So if someone buys a commander that another person doesn't have that gives even the slightest advantage, may it just be some surprise new ability that is easy to counter, if you know how to, or gives the possibility of a combination that works better with some weird strategy, then this makes it pay-to-win and Relic is full of shit. Not that it matters, since Coh2 is a shit game in the first place, compared to its predecessor.

If your specific feedback wasn't listened to, again that's unfortunate but we can't implement every idea. Otherwise we'd be making a unit both more powerful and less powerful at the same time.
Hey Relic, to quote one of your previous Devs, BCKorn: "Dear COH Community, you guys can suck my ballz". Here is an idea for you to implement: suck your own balls. Maybe you will find them tasty. |
^It's actually how the gun sounds in reality, iirc. They got rid of the effects made to imitate MG's and such.
I do like the imitations more, making sound effects for movies and games usually means the end product will sound better than it really did, since it wasn't in reality designed to sound "well".
Yeah they say that. But the guns in Coh2 don't sound at all like the real deal. |
That guy's wearing really nice shoes.
In Russia dresscode wears you. |
what I meant is that on the real Eastern Front, millions of Soldiers succumbed to General Winter, but in the entire Beta I lost maybe less than 10 Soldiers, including frost byte. So did they intentionally tone General Winter down for the Beta? He seems a bit UP. Will he unleash his full force when Coh2 goes Gold? |

I stop pretending that Coh2 isn't totally awesome now. |
I doubt the game will change much from what we have seen in the closed beta. |
