As the night fell the 2nd Infantry Division settled down and prepared to get some rest. But fate was not with them as the 12th SS Panzer Division launched an assault to retake the town. The 101th Panzer Brigade had to push them back to the river or else all of their other efforts would be for naught. So with that in mind Panzers and infantry got moving again. There was no armour in the nearby vicinity so all they had to rely on were bazookas and guts. The Americans were on the attack and every sector the 85th was defending was doing it's best to repel the 4th Infantry Division. Reinforced were promised but there was no timeline for their arrival.
