Making infantry and light vehicles a counter to the M36 is a much better course of action than straight up nerfing its combat capabilities. |
Currently Jacksons are a beat-all-of-the-kind tank, it destroys lights because they are 2 shoted, they obliterate mediums because they are more reliable on the move than those and finally but not least, beat the crap out of heavies because their superior range and penetration bonuses.
Damn they are the best FU investment to deny all other FU from axis.
Pair that with a solid lategame infantry and you got 2 out of 3 main army components (infantry-armor-indirect fire), from that its a simple linear fight and steamroll over.
I admit that lategame is for allies, but unless axis spams ATGs and HMGs they are simply rolled over, generally speaking
If there was some counterplay, for instance if snares always dealt engine crits and if armour was lower to allow Puma to fight it off, then the Jackson would be in a much better spot. |
People don’t even understand the main issue with T4 lol
What IS T4? It is a special vehicle tier, which you pay a premium in time and resources to reach, which gives you access to three units. All 3 of these units are very specific specialists which serve very niche roles. The Brummbar has been neutered to the point where it can only function as a spearhead assault vehicle against an opponent lacking in heavy duty Anti-Armour (For instance Brummbar will cream a soviet with a su76, T34/76 and 47mm AT, but will fail miserably against M1, Jackson and M4 USF player in 1v1.), the Panther as stated in the patch notes is geared towards countering Heavy tanks and the Panzerwerfer can be used to clear weapons teams. All 3 units are highly specialized and rarely needed.
Meanwhile T3 has a fantastic generalist medium tank, the Panzer IV F2, the Workhorse unit of the Ostheer, the Stug III G, a cheap and very reliable counter to light and medium armour, and the Ostwind, an AA platform that reliably counters infantry, light vehicles and aircraft.
There is not T3/T4 choice. T3 is the lifeline of the Ostheer faction, while T4 is a tier of niche specialists that you don’t always need.
It’s very simple, the T4 is cheap enough as is, it’s not a price problem. If the vehicles in it are not worth getting, either make them cheaper or expand their role. |

They are like shock troops but on all ranges
Your argument for nerfing Falls is a 3 second clip where a Falls squad and a Volks squad with Valiant assault quickly killed a Combat Engineer squad in red cover.
Please stop posting. |
It could help if ambush bonus could be set on time that you need to stsy camoed for prolonged period of time, so you just cant walk over craters and have bonus around the clock.
I was thinking the same thing. This would be a great change for all squads getting a firing out of camo bonus. |
I'll assume by "elite camo" you mean the moving camo that commandos, snipers, and stormtroopers use... Which falls don't have.
I don't know if I should be frustrated or glad that half of the points brought up in the balance section are just straight up factual misinformation...

26 mins, Falls are in cover camouflaged and stay camouflaged while moving and vaulting over the sandbags. Compare it to Ostheer camouflage for infantry and MGs that need to stay still and you can see how great Falls’ camouflage is. There’s a chance Elite camouflage has another requirement, so I’m making sure everyone understands what i mean.
Also like I said, I personally think Falls are fine. They are stronger than they have a right to be potentially, but their doctrine is bad so it evens out. |

????
I’m not home, can you test it? I’m very much sure they have it. |

It’s a l2p issue. Facing special forces with mainlines, just like MGs with mainlines, is a skill you'll develop as you get more experienced and skilled.
As for Falls elite camo is really the only super annoying thing about them that could potentially change, but it doesn’t seem like they’ll be touched. In my view that’s fine, since they’re not exactly in a good doctrine and Tiger is a must for OKW atm.
In general I stand by my assessment of all airborne special forces, they could all use a slight tone down. |
Para's do only get 4 thompsons just like rangers though.
This is what happens when I never use them lol
In that case I guess they’re fine. |
I think all airborne special forces in general need a tone down.
Falls should not have elite camouflage, since it leads to comedic “ambushes” where you see them at the edge of your vision, they camo and then instantly open fire and get a bonus. Getting a regular camo would necessitate more carefully planned ambushes.
Commandos shouldn’t get heavy weapons proficiency or elite camouflage.
Soviet Paratroopers need an overhaul/change.
USF paras need a tone down. LMG paras having fire superiority is too much, I’d rather see it replaced at vet 3 with a reinforcement beacon or at vet 3 with M6 mines. |
