Thread: Missing Commanders that are fucking legit15 Jan 2015, 23:20 PM Yeah it's the perfect commander for those whole like automatic weapons for infantry plus medium tanks and intel - I'm one of those and I know how frustrating this is. Relic said on the official forums they wanted to let the players who initially received these two commanders have them for some time and maybe then release them to the general community, so possibly they will make them purchasable on Steam. Let's not get carried away by the game of I-can-make-a-list. The issue is clearly connected to the early game - if I manage to drag it through to late game the problem is not present at all. So the Tiger, Brummbaer and Panzerwerfer drop from that list right away. Of the remaining units: Mortar: this means (1) You have even less squads to cover your HMGs/mortars (2) Have even less units to hold under fire while your mortar shells land on Rifles (and even that provided the Rifle player is dumb and just bunches up his squads without moving); LMG 42: only works if you have constructible green cover at your disposal, which the Ostheer don't (that's why this needs to be signed); Ostwind, Flame HT and StuG E: no chance of survival once the super-long-range Jackson hits the field; Plus the latter doesn't even belong in here, as it is doctrinal; Stuka strafe: Again, doctrinal counters to non-doctrinal problems is never a solution. Thread: Tiger or Panther?10 Jan 2015, 11:27 AM I prefer the Panther for all scenarios as its speed allows for viable hit-and-run tactics unlike the Tiger that can be caught (e.g. by the Jacksons) far more easily. The choice is not influenced by opponent units as the Panther has more flanking potential vs Soviet heavies and (as noted above) is safer vs USF long-range TDs re: choosing a doctrine for the Panthers - smoke doctrines are great supplement for them, although I don't base my selection on that alone. Very often one of my three commanders is a Tiger one (the Mechanized Assault ATM) but I ignore the Tiger and go for the Panther anyway. In: Lobby

Please provide a replay for this claim; (2) What you might be "constantly seeing" is the Axis having weak early game while trying to stall until they can deploy Panthers/Tigers, which is the usual meta, especially against the stronger early game of the USF; (3) The sarcastic "how the Germans won the war" remark is really out of place here - the fact that some tank had superior performance in the war doesn't mean the country manufacturing it couldn't have lost that war due to other reasons.
