Nice gifs there Tommy. The first one was my fav of course ^.^ |
I wasn't making fun of you! The fact that you tried to stream at a higher resolution than your screen-resolution just made me/us think that you might not know what you're doing. Just tried to clear things up...
to answer your other question:
Thanks for the info however I am still unsure of what bit rate and buffer rate I should set in general for my current system specs. Currently on Twitch I stream at 768p with a bit rate of 1500 and a buffer of 3000. The quality is 10 and the preset is veryfast. With these settings my stream has been just fine however I want to know if I can possibly improve of the quality by changing a few things around. My upload and download speeds can be seen below.
Edit: I have just done three bandwidth tests at a bit rate of 2000 and a buffer of 4000. They all returned a green positive result. |
I have heard that people have managed to stream at 1080p even though their screen resolution is much lower. This is why I decided to try out this new software. I thought the point of this thread was to test things out not to make fun of others...
As for the buffer I always thought it was supposed to be double the bit-rate. Am I mistaken? |
you dont need TCPRelay anymore with OBS
@ inverse! great guide! good working putting it all togehter
Really? Because at the moment I am dropping nearly all my frames when I try to stream at 1080p. I have set the bit rate to 2000 and the buffer to 4000. My screen res is 1360x768. |
I just watched the ww2 film "My Way" by Kang Je-Kyu and it was amazing! One of the best war films I've probably ever seen. I bought it thinking it was going to be another cheap low budget knock off and to my surprise it was terrific!
I would recommend this film to everyone who enjoys a good war film. Here's the wiki for it.

Thanks for the guide guys. I am currently trying out the Open Broadcast software however I am having a hard time dropping all my frames. I originally used a special program called TCPRelay in order to stream using Xsplit. However since I am not sure of how to connect the TCPRelay program to Open Broadcast I am unable to stream with this other broadcasting software.
Anyway for those who want to improve their stream bandwidth I highly recommend downloading the TCPRelay program as it bypasses XSplit arbitrary upload bandwidth cap resulting in a much better quality stream overall.
Full instructions and information on this program can be found at this link.

I wish I could do stuff like this! It would be awesome. I'm not as Rich as any of Han's pets though so it's a little more difficult. So for people like me it would be great if you guys had a video recorder and recorded some stuff =P I know lots of people would be interested in seeing some of the greatest guys in CoH chilling out in person!
If I do make more money than Han's pets then I'll try and make it to wherever.

Hey mr Strategist.
I've run into a 2v2 problem. I usually play vanilla factions and so does my teammate, and as double wehr (around lvl 8 right now) we're facing a lot of mixed allies. The brit player usually moves up a bit for the forward base, but not aggressively enough to be punishable for it early on without us committing to a full out assault without flamers and shrecks. The problem comes when the mortar pit goes down and I find it really hard to cap or fight around that area. I've heard several times that attacking is better than capping against brits, but I find it really hard to get an attack in on the brit mortarpit (that is really what is giving them the early advantage) when he can just retreat all of his forces back to his HQ. Also recon sections makes flamers a risky investment for someone who is a bit bad at using them.
The general advice I would appreciate (since I'm not bringing a replay I know specific advice is hard to give) is if you could tell me when the time is to push a forward brit base (say, at their high fuel with a mortar pit, recon, bren squad and a lt going for a support truck cpt stuart tech). Timing pushes seems to be all against brits and since tehre are few good 2v2 with brits that I've seen on pro level, I really need advice on when they are.
If a mortar pit goes up and you can't kill it quickly enough with bikes then I suggest you just stay out of range from the pit and if they can't be helped, I would constantly keep moving my forces. If you can I would try and sneak a couple of shrek grens to the area and destory it when you have the chance. Try and time this with a distraction somewhere else on the map so most of the allied forces will not be there to defend it. Also your right in thinking that flamer pio's are a risky investment and I would advise getting them in 2v2 because they die so easily. I would suggest you invest your munis in shreks rather than flamers. |
Hans, truth is you are still looking for a shit excuses to your lose, you think you can ban my IP from twitch? good luck with that, you should ban all guys who's stream sniping you, i just noticed that in your every lost game you look for excuses, maphack, stream cheating, bad micro, even fooking lucky snipers or arty, that's in every lost game you play.
Your are only good with your PE gamestyle, it's because you always do the same - AC rush to panthers with luft repairs, sometimes you change to TD when you don't have AT weapons, in all other factions you suck
Doesn't everyone make an excuse for losing? |
I suggest you read your post again. Because it doesn't make any sense at all
It does make sense. If they have a permanent IP ban on twitch they cannot stream cheat. Simple as that. Therefore in future, all games against these players in CoH you can be certain that they are not stream cheating. Problem solved. |
