I play brits quite a lot and I think they're the weakest faction at the moment. They're a one trick pony. Emplacements are a meme (the only one I use is the 17pdr with the fortifications commander upgrade) and you are forced into FF/Churchill combo which is powerful but not worth enduring the UKF faction as a whole for.

I normally bring my ambulance to an aggressive position in an early ganme engagement, yes. I do the same thing with an Opel.
It's vulnerable but very useful. Much like an ambulance. But OKW can drop meds and gets a lot of self healing squads, so you can work around that.
Opel Blitz comes too late to have an impact anyways, it comes at 3 cps. So you really can't have it in the early game to bring out the aggressive play style OKW have. (Also it sucks) |

Firesturm already has all the CQC upgrades in the world. Sure, it'll arrive later than a WC, but it'll come with substantially more armour and carrying a sturmpio squad with a flamethrower.
The Opel already does what it needs to and does it well, which is be a halftrack. But a halftrack that also comes with a firepower bonus, to fit the assault theme.
You can't fire out of the opel blitz truck, plus its pretty slow. Pretty easy to take out with small arms fire and a anti-tank nade. The 250 HT seems promising. |

Just a bunch of allied crybabies, that can't invest in a single counter lmao. You don't see anyone complaining about p-47 rocket strafes hitting my panther in my base. All these air support abilities function generally in the same way, in a damn circle. So nerfing something an ability that just got gardening nerfed because you lost to it, because your dumb ass can't get an aa vehicle is down right stupid and insane. |
OK, I don't usually post things this dramatic, and I'm also posting in replay reviews so that I can L2P, but I honestly think this is the most broken matchup in the game right now.
Have been trying to get back into UKF for the last few days but I have experienced this nonstop. Every Wehr matchup I win easily, every single OKW matchup I lose, even in the 50% of games where I completely outplay the opponent and get several wipes.
JLI are making things worse, but they aren't even the real problem (there are plenty other OKW call-in infantry options). The problem is that OKW gets more infantry, faster than anyone else. And anyone who isn't a completely new player can just run them around the map, cap everything, spam flame nades to beat every garrison or defensive position, spam sandbags to effortlessly defend every point they take, spam fausts to beat any light vehicle. Once OKW has map control, it's an automatic economic victory anyway. This is way worse than USF Riflespam ever was.
Yes, there are very good counters in Vickers, Bren Carrier, AEC, and Sniper. However, any map with a lot of sight blockers strongly negates all of these counters, and there are already enough OKW squads running around that there will always be another you can send in from the side or behind your opponent.
I play all factions but I've stopped playing OKW now, it's just boring to rely on infantry / territory spam, and I'm quitting UKF until this shit gets fixed.
I've been making this argument that Volks need toning down for something like a year now, I have no idea how they have not only been untouched despite the ongoing discussion, but JLI has been added into this ridiculous mix. Seriously, just change one small thing, be it sandbags, flame nade, StG, faust, MP cost, vet, whatever. OKW early infantry spam is ruining the game right now.

V1 rockets used to be one of the best things playing in COH1, their destruction would be unparalleled. It would be nice to see a comeback of them. But they'd have to be expensive to not be too op. Munitions ~~300-500. Thoughts? |

The infantry sections themselves do way to too much damage, might as well call them sniper sections, and people think jagers are op. Croc is mobile sim city, and you can get many unlike wher tiger which you get one and gets raped by allied tank destroyer spam. Infantry section cost should stay as it is, considering how well they perform. British have basically counters to everything. The brits are broken period. |
It stands you say? Have you tried testing a churchill against a Tiger in 1v1? After that I think you would agree that it's more comparable to a panther and how many of these are the germans allowed to have?
Panthers have way less armor and health, and tiger is under performing due to mass allied tank destroyer spam. How come axis barely have non-doctrinal tank destroyers. |
