Its doctrinal sherman, not regular one. They had nothing better to put into mechanized, so they have put soviet lend-lease sherman and do not seem to know where to go with it.
It wants to be somewhere between easy8 and jackson, but I don't see why would I want it over any of the two.
thanks for pointing that out to me in a rational way, I mistook this sherman for the normal one in my last game |
pls remove the mg from the Stumtiger...it fires and show the enemy early the ST. the mg is useless on a tank which is not long on the front. it is in most cases a ealy detection debuff
Is it there by default? Maybe just make it a possible upgrade so players who want the mg can upgrade it. |
Well wasnt the sherman in a fine place beforehand? It had decent AP with the normal AP rounds and nice anti infantry with the HE shells. I dont understand why they implemented it. |
German defensive doctrine: I think its in a good spot, the concret bunkers are nice but the suppression of them is way too strong somehow? (bug?)
Also the repair bunkers are weird, Pioneers going one by one for a vehicle repair (which makes the repair time realy slow) while the others dont do anything.
I still think, as others have pointed out, that the Stug E is, while it is a good and cool tank, not supposed to be in a defensive doctrine. Maybe replace the Stug with a Riegelmine or something?
German Infantry: I actualy like the new stormtroopers, but I can imagine that many people dont or are used to the old stormtroopers. Maybe give them a STG package which gives them STG+ bundle grenades, so people still have the choice to use the older stormtroopers instead of the new (cool and good) ones.
I have the impression, that the Sherman AP rounds are a bit tough to deal with as pzIV. The reload of both the PZ IV and the Sherman seem to be on par, while the shermans accuracy and Pen are way more consistent. The sherman is squishier though, but last game my opponent just kept his Sherman tank as far back as he could and used it like a Tank Destroyer vs my PZ IV, effectively denying the use of my PZ IV. |
You'd rather have a gun that gets insta nuked when spotted or a million guys some of which are armed with AT rifles and sometimes actually hit something?
Well thats what our good ol trusty osttruppen are for, the ones manning the team weapons get nuked, just insta recrew with other osttruppens.
I wouldnt touch osttruppen but I would agree with your mentioned bunker idea. Maybe remove Stug E for better concrete bunkers? |
I agree about the Osttruppen but why did they get the MG42 then? Just gives them a bit more usefulness when garrisoned, that's all, plus they won't have access to the Panzerfaust anymore then like I already said to keep it balanced.
Everybody else seems to have if not exactly a forward reinforcement point then an alternative to it, the Brits have an all in one building basically with their Forward Assembly, the USF have their Ambulance and later combined with the Major makes for a potent makeshift forward reinforce area, the OKW have their med truck, and the Soviets now have a retreat point, even if doctrinal, and a forward HQ as well. I don't think healing is a huge problem for them as well since these commanders will most likely be chosen in team games anyhow, and even if not a simple ability such as med bags for the M5 Halftrack would fix the issue in my opinion.
And lastly, the Ostheer is the mid war German Army, OKW is the late one, that's why you don't see vehicles like the Jagdtiger, KT, Sturmtiger and so on for the Ost but do for the OKW. So technically they should have more resources and manpower if not technological superiority like the OKW.
Well adding a new type of weapon for our osttruppen would be a cool feature. But I am thinking to rather add a Cmd Pz IV so your team weapons get more durable as a replacement for the STUG E, which doesnt fit the defensive theme of the doctrine at all. I mean why do you need a "sturmgeschütz", which translates roughly to stormgun in a defensive tree? I'd rather see a command Panzer IV to buff the defensive stats of the team weapons and osttruppen or a artilerry field officer, to buff the usefulness of the osttruppen.
I want the defensive doctrine to be actualy worth to choose. Why would they consider to rework the defensive doctrine now when they wont make it worthwhile anyways?
Regarding the Ost Infantry doctrine. I actualy prefer the mp40 Storms. I dont understand why 5 Man squads were not able to equip any mgs anymore. |
Ostheer - Defensive Doctrine
-We have read some feedback suggesting this doctrine is missing a change to make it a compelling pick. Some players wish to see the Pak43 replaced, however, others enjoy using it (and it is a thematic choice). We would like to see further feedback around the current version of this doctrine.
I'd love to see the Pak43 replaced by an Elefant. 43s are basically just giant stationary targets, whereas the Elefant is (just about) a mobile 43 that is a lot easier to keep alive. It might seem weird to have two tanks on a defence commander, but the Elefant isn't even remotely meant for aggressive offence attacks, it's basically a tank sniper.
No dont replace the Pak43 with an Elephant, although the Pak gets destroyed most of the time this doctrine is designed in a stationary defensive way. Even though the Elephant is not the fastest vehicle it is still a mobile tank destroyer. I think it is more fitting to keep the Park43 design-wise.
While we are at it, I do not get at all what the Stug E is doing in this doctrine? I'd rather have an Artillery Field officer (to provide auras to weak osttruppen) or another stationary gun like the LFH artillery piece. |
Hopefully they change close air support and or infantry doc for ostheer! |
What I like to do is to imposter the ostheer if the usf player keeps spamming infantry (most of soviets and usf do that) and try to build mg + leig to shoot the suppressed riflemen for easy kills.
If you get a bit ahead (holding both fuels for a bit) you can also go mech for either flak or luchs. |
What the hell did i just read, gimme some of ur good stuff you take. XD |
