I had the please of watching stephenns games against Sepha, but I have problems finding the other games. Thread: Third HBO WWII themed mini-series in development14 Feb 2013, 17:31 PM I preffered the Pacific over Band of brothers just because it leaned a bit to heavyly to the "war is heroic" aspect. Just a little bit, mind you. Therefore, I thought the Pacific was a nice change to BoB due to the depressing scenery. The whole atmosphere of the pacific tells me: "what are you doing here, you don't belong here, go home". A feeling I normally get when watching vietnam war movies. What was putting me off was the parts about the medal of honour guy. I couldn't connect to his problems at all and didn't care one bit as he was gunned down on Iwo Jima... Thread: The Winning Mentality10 Feb 2013, 09:06 AM I had a similar realisation back in the days when I was playing Counterstrike. I had installed some sort of skin for the M249 (the machine gun), not sure what it was, but it felt pretty bad ass. For people not familiar with Counterstrike: the machine gun was a rather gimmicky weapon. It had a huge magazine (100 rounds) but was unwieldy and inaccurate, so not much used. And there I was holding this bad ass gun in my hand and going RAMPAGE through the map. I just thought I was holding an über-gun in my hand and felt invincible. And in these rounds, I really was. I'm not sure where I was going with this anecdote. Maybe that bad ass skins make you a better player... Nice article, had a good read! Greets Schepp himself In: News

I agree that the battle group is probably the most asskicking one. Something about the lighting and the rear engine deck of the Panther model is just awesome. But I think the drainage pipe one feels the most CoH. I'm not exactly sure what I mean by this, but when I see that image, it just feels CoH. I hope we were able to give the Americans a proper send-off with these. I wonder if they'll ever return to COH2 in an expansion. Would love to go to Africa, then we could bring the Amis and the Brits back. Mhh... reevaluating the screens. The Drainpipe really has a very coh-y feeling to it. The King Tiger one lost a bit of charme in the second glance. I think the camera angle doesn't do it justice. Volks are cool, but I'm not pleased by the implementation (still).
