Thread: Brits 6pdr bug on faymonville22 Mar 2019, 13:21 PM Yes, the QF6, M1, and even the tiny little M42 AT gun all require at least a 3 meter wide hole to fit thru. I have no idea why. I guess the Brits like their girls to be chunkin. A PaK40 goes right thru a 1 meter wide hole. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Equipment for Pod casting22 Mar 2019, 13:13 PM I brought up the MXL 990 because it is normally $99 each. But they go for $59 regularly on Musicians Friend Stupid Deal of the Day. $59 each right now as a matter of fact. I have never heard one but the reviews look good. NOTE: Condensor mics are very fragile! They do not like to be mishandled, dropped, etc. They are also sensitive to moisture so your breath across the diaphram can cause it to crackle etc. Another reason why a windscreen is so important! Thread: Equipment for Pod casting20 Mar 2019, 22:04 PM As usual I am always let down by humanity at every level. I spent some time looking for a decent two person kit/bundle and didn't really see anything good. There were some really low end kits with dynamic mics that would work but may not give the desired results. So I pieced up a low budget decent system as an example of what you want and how much it would cost generically. As I said stuff changes constantly and there are much cheaper asian no name brands on amazon. And there are much higher quality stuff everywhere else. PRESONUS 2x2 USB Audio interface at Musicians Friend or Sweetwater $99.95 US. - Two mic inputs. - Phantom power (48v) for condensor mics. - Comes with Presonus entry level DAW. - Presonus Studio plug in bundle included (compressor, eq, etc). TASCAM Condensor Mic setup $45 on Amazon.Com - Includes Mic, Cable, stand, and shock mount. - There are cheaper no names or step up to Audio Technica 2020, Behringer C1 or C3 or B1, MXL990, Rode NT1, Shure SM7B etc. NOTE: It is best to get two of the same mics as they may sound different than other brands. HEADPHONE DILEMMA The final problem is headphone listening if required. You will also need assorted cables to connect all the stuff up. - You can try to get two sets of headphones working using one set on PC output and one set on Presonus. - Buy a splitter cable and share an output. Cant adjust levels for each person. - Buy a headphone amplifier so everyone has control of their own volume. MIXING IT DOWN When you a see studio mixing tracks you will notice they do not wear headphones and have special looking speakers. When you adjust EQ you are tuning it to sound good on whatever you are listening too. If your speakers/headphones are crap your final mix will be crap. You will tweak frequencies that are missing or have too much emphasis on your crappy speakers. So try to mix to decent speakers. Try not to use headphones if possible. And listen to the recording on every device you have to see how it sounds before uploading it. PC, MP3 player on stereo, in your car , etc. For great results on a PC, buy a pair of Powered Studio Monitors. These will start at $100/pair and go up. These speakers are engineered to have the flattest response that can be achieved for the cost. So you can EQ to get the best results across all devices. In: Hardware and Tech

It's not like they do it with intent (or most of the times at least) My idea was to inform them some how that they are crashing because of some behavior, like surfing the web while loading, etc. So I agree its not banable. Maybe force a pop up that they have to click thru to get into the game after so many crashes. Something like: You seem to be having issues try these tips and check our troubleshooting page for help: - Does the game crash when you are alt-tabbing or surfing the web while loading into a match? - Does it help if you restart the game after a match or two? - Try to play the game without any other programs running. The problem is that its probably partially Relics fault that the game crashes due to memory leaks or bad object handling in the video card code. Or the problem is in the video card drivers interacting with Windows while surfing etc. So Relic will never even print that this problem exists cause it would make them look bad. But it is at the point that people have changed their in game name to RESTART AFTER EVERY GAME NOOBS. And people still keep crashing. But this will all be moot cause COH3 will be rock solid In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: 4v4 Soviet Strategy Against OST & OKW 20 Mar 2019, 17:20 PM I am also curious what the pros say here. Using the response most players give "Play as OST/OKW and see how your enemy beats you" I have some ideas. But there are too many variables. It depends a lot on the map and on what your team mate is doing. Ways I have been utterly rekt by SOV: - Two SOV players both make flame cars and keep them back then both attack at the same time. So your feeling good that you have the fuel etc and then two flame cars come out of nowhere and annihilate all your stuff. - Fast t70. The last game I played against a T70 the thing won them the game. Had well over 40 kills. By the time you can faust it 3 or more of the volks are dead. And a Raketen just scratches the paint unless you have two of them. Which means you have no infantry so you get run over by the penals. - Depending on the map, snipers. Ewww I feel dirty just typing it. - And of course mortar spam can win many 4v4 matches that have static front lines. I played with a guy who spammed Conscripts. And my immediate thought was GG we lose. But he kept them alive and retreated until he hit critical mass. Then he got a good flank off and utterly ruined the axis team. Then made an urban defense forward HQ and it was GG. I suck at all factions and somehow have the worst RNG in the game. So I always make maxims and mortars. If I make penals they get rekt. If I make a sniper it gets rekt. Clown car, boom rekt. Oh, and my maxims never suppress anyone. Ever. Not even close. So they also get REKT. So I have zero advice for you In: Red Army Strategies
Thread: Votekick option20 Mar 2019, 16:58 PM The only good part of having an AI on your team is scouting. Because the AI have no FOW. So they always go where there are no enemy units. The worst part is the attack algorithm usually has them try to put their vehicles right on top of yours, so they block you and get you killed. And dont get me started on how they will walk right by an abandoned team weapon 100 times until you make something to reman it. Then they take the team weapon right in front of your units and retreat it back to base. Worst case scenario. You just wasted manpower to reman it so you are weaker, they had a unit nearby which is now gone, you lost the team weapon, and the AI has it in the base. My point is 85% of the time the AI is programmed to help the enemy team. So when a team mate drops, your 4v4 becomes 3v4.5. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Why am I placed against players with way better ranks?19 Mar 2019, 19:38 PM The problem is no one plays 1v1. If you go to COH2 and spectate you will see 20 - 40 matches are in the list. So only 40 - 80 people are playing 1v1 at that moment. You can always post a replay and request a pro to check it out under replay reviews I think. In: COH2 Gameplay
