for this outstanding post and most of the other quadrizillion posts over the years (1st read your name on gamereplays in 2004? dosent matter...)
as i am at the very beginnig of casting (noob), i wanted to cast a game with my mate, together, and i am feeling the pain.
i am confident there is going to be a change "soon" :-)
lets just wait another few years, we are going to be too old to play the game ourselves, but casting is going to be great by then^^.
i am still using my first gaming mouse, its a razer death adder just like yours.
i tried some other mice, but came back to the first and still find it suits me most.
i "modded" the leds to red, so its the same colour with the rest of my stuff.
little cleaning from time to time, new silicone feet, perfect mouse.
if you like it, and are accustomed to it, stick with it as long as it works. get a better "mousepad" instead. or whatever you like.
just my opinion.
For patches that don't change any unit stats, you can use a hex editor to change the version identifier at the very start of the .rec file to make it work again.
For patches that do change unit stats, nothing can be done short of having a version of coh2 locked in that one.
For the patch that just got applied, no stat changes were made so the replays will work fine. Open up the rec file in a hex editor (HxD is very simple and requires no installation http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/ ), and change the start of the file from 00 00 7A 36 to 00 00 66 37.
awesome, i am going to start to destroy my installation right now ^^
