Well duuh. You have 2 vet3 fireflies with tulips, which both fire and connect and all the shots penetrate the 400 units thick armor with their 210 units penetrating shells.. Also the elephant has no support, and is completely abandoned by his/her teammates, playing a 2v1 in one VP lane. You don't need excellent and perfect coordination between a couple of players to completely push back the elefant and then flank it to have a chance of taking it down. Or you don't need to make a perfect push to use some offmap for it. Nah. Just park two fireflies and let them rip. |
Hill 400 has very good cut off design.
I you have to hold 2 points; the enemy has counter play, basically making the early game longer, since you can contest the enemy fuel all the time. Even matches will have no fuel connection for like the first 10 minutes.
I don't remember the last time I had fuel connected on Hill 400. Though, it's easier to hold bottom fuel for east than it is top fuel for west. I'd know since last 10 or so games on Hill 400... I got the exact same spawn each time. West-bottom-most. Still, such easy cutoffs means that it's a more dynamic game, so I kind like Hill400 except for the fact that it's a hill and the elevation is amazingly, mindbogglingly, super mega ultra horrible.
Cutoffs in team-games are usually a rare sight. General Mud, Hill 400.... can't think of any map other than those two that has decent cutoffs. Redball and a couple of other have an easier time for the encirclement I win button, but other than that, cutoff is mostly a 1v1 gimmick. Also you should take into consideration that by going for the cutoff, you must go deeper into the enemy territory... God forbid the enemy ally flanks or sth. |
How can someone compare Command vehicle on a 3 shot AEC that buffs only you, and a command P4 that is 4 shot and buffs everyone around it. Silly |
Pathfinders should have been brought up to JLI offensive (accuracy....) and defensive (RA) levels and made CP2. Start off with long range carbines or something and upgrade to snipers, same as JLI.
However, then pios should get the sight bonus locked behind vet so that no starting infantry can scout out right out of the gate (especially potent in 3v3s).
Scott should have had 60 autofire range and a high scatter, fast barrage that can act as sort of a retarded katyusha barrage. Slower, not as high a saturation as many rockets at once, but you get autofire in return.
Basically a mini brummbar.
Pak howi should have had an autofire accuracy nerf, and a buff to barrage so it's more against static opponents. Not just straight up nerf the AOE by 50% and in return give it one extra man which does not help it survive one bit.
M1919s should have been locked behind the major so that rifles don't lose as hard against grens late game on most large, open maps. Grens should have been reworked because they are currently the most potent mainline, especially in 3v3s+ where you can blob them with LMGs and just melt away infantry (especially USF as USF is close range).
OKW should have been looked at with the KT spearhead + commander/HEAT shells combination. HEAT shells themselves should have been reworked.
There are plenty of things that could have been made better in my opinion. But with the current state of the US, pathfinders are necessitated by facts:
Grens are long range, combined with pios sight + MG42 wide cone, makes it a horror to play against on lane-y maps (Rheine, Redball, ...)
Volks are long range, and you want to spot rushing spios to position the REs as perfectly as you can since REs deal 0 dmg in reality.
OST also has a sniper which can be a cancer to USF. Can't remember how many times I've flanked a sniper only to fail to kill it in multiple volleys from medium-long range (rifles are close range).
Biggest weakness, once that I've seen exploited many times in 3v3s by fellow USF players that played Airborne into scott is the absolute lack of AT/snare. M1 57mm is generally not enough to contest OKW P4 without a muni sink (which goes into pathfinders to make them viable later on with double BARs). With the caches and all, you can get the OKW P4 and a brummbar quite fast, which spells doom against pathfinders/scott. (unless all OKW team)
Best you can hope is to close the game before minute 15.
Hell, I pretty much exclusively play Heavy Cavalry and I'm around rank 10 as USF in 3v3s, which kinda does mean that Pathfinders are not as necessary as they seem to be at first glance. But they do make the game easier. What I have to do basically is send the RE first to get pinned and reveal the position of the MG, and then play 3 rifles vs 3 grens + MG42 + pio with superior positioning and micro. After those starting engagements against spios and MG42s it gets easier and I usually have the Pershing around minute 19-20. Still, having pathfinder sight makes it sooo much easier. Sure the pathfinders are quite shi* in combat until BARs, but the starting sight more than makes up for it. |
Do you only play USF and post wins?
I only post good games that last longer than 25 minutes. I seldom have losses that are longer than 10 minutes.
I have 3-4 games here which were ~50 minutes, where I lost, but were terrific and enjoyable games. Seldom are such games as mostly it's due to the matchmaker. I'll get paired with a ranks 1000 against ranks 200 (cause 10 + 2x1000 == 3x200). I don't post such games as they last <25 minutes and at minute 15 we get base pushed.
If a game lasts for 30 minutes and I win, but it was due to the faulty MM, where I got paired with top50 players against one top 10 player and rest ranks 5000+, I won't post it of course.
And yes, in competitive I only play USF. Don't have time to play anything else. |
An extremely difficult game against an extremely salty and toxic wehraboo. Ranks are all in the top 50. Axis is premade rank 30 team. Allies are randoms of rank top 50.
51 minutes of extreme carnage, deaths, big booms and other sh*tfuc*eries. Might be enjoyable, since it is Ettelbruck and it's easy to keep track of all the deaths on such a small map. Funnily, a proof of how much pak howies have been nerfed is given here.
Double pak howies (as I usually do in case of extreme forward bases ) managed to score, in 45 minutes they have been on the field (0 decrews I think), only ~40 kills each. So that's less than one kill per minute.

You left out the part of goliath vs Ranger squad. If I were axis and rewatched this I would have been pissed at the OKW player, he spammed Goliaths thinking he was gonna get more wipes. Only got a few late game when it was to late. If he would have gotten some more sector Assault they might have been able to turn it around.

That last one. Saw it. Just said fu*k it. We're probably winning this, and if not, just let it end, please. Strange that the echelon minesweeper didn't detect it sooner.
Amazing cancer. Base howi. Goliaths. Bunkers all around. Skill shot that explodes right below a low HP KT even though I aimed further. Commands not registering due to occasional latency spikes. Goliaths everywhere hiding in the craters. OST + OKW double team defense. Random explosions wiping. Was thinking of building a mortar, but there were so many bunkers and MGs that I'd need 10 mortars just to cover enough area with smoke. And then I'd probably get rifle naded to hell and back. Horrible, extremely horrible pathfinding. Even worse the fu*king elevations, just making me miss all ground shots (I mostly use ground target on all non-TD tanks) by a fuc*ing mile. One shot I think even went up into the heavens.
Hate such games. Play all over the map. Not just bunker down and hope to hold 2 points till Kingdom come. God forbid I try to push bot. Immediately OST pushing me back from the front, and OKW rushing to kick me from the side. I mean... I know I got raped by a dry cactus in the summer heat, when Soviet ally had a much better K/D ratio. Lost 10 years of my life playing this game |
Most cancerous game I've ever played. Extreme bunker down. Extreme cancer. Never ever played a game filled with such bad luck and trying to break a 3 player defense over one point basically. 200 HP KT? The Pershing skill shot explodes right below it. Most nerve wracking game I have ever played. Hands down.
