-Pathfinders need to be less of a Manpower sink!
-Paras are fine, but I wouldn't mind a CP reduction, 2CP
-Weapon drops to Muni costs, to reduce MP usage of the commander
-P47s increased lethality buffs
Yes
Yes
But p47s are really lethal when they hit something. They just need way more consistency, so less width between the rockets. Mostly they are bad because they miss their rockets on both sides of the target almost all the time. |
I meant changing the cost to munitions and not dropping munitions.
Yes, the JU 87 Strafe is 120-130 munition I believe.
Ah. That makes sense and is definitely a good idea, but I like my idea as well.
Paras are actually the strongest point of that doctrine, especially against OH. If you can micro them properly, you pretty much get guaranteed wipes.
Yep. Especially with thompsons. The carbines actually have really high dps too.
Im pretty sure it means drop accuracy not weapon accuracy
Yes. For ruzen, I think the beacon does show enemies on the minimap.

This problem with rifles is actually the result the delay in weapon teams. If the M2B HMG was not locked behind a 50 fuel upgrade/60 second, this can also be described volks and OKW just with a longer deploy time. With weapon teams more accessible it will help increase the need of elite inf along with reducing blobbing.
In related to the poll I voted Abstain due to the lack of an option of "rework." (Different than buffing) I have created mods that involved changing the MG drop to 75 Mun, and AT Gun to 100. Additionally replacing the JU 87 and P47 Loiters with strafes. (AT loiters are on the strong side.) The P47 strafe width is changed from 10 units to 4ish. Paths, I adjust the reinforce cost for now from 37 to 30 that may be enough for now.
That's an interesting idea. But you replaced both of them with munition drop abilities? If it was me, I would keep the muni drop (probably the 100/4cp one) and make one of them (probably .50 cal paradrop at 2cp) to a passive that gives pathfinders an ability that lets them drop both (but separately, like an option for .50 and option for AT gun) as right now one of the big advantages to airborne is being able to have both of those fairly important team weapons regardless of tech choice. Just a suggestion, for the live game too. The other stuff I definitely agree with (p47s would get a cost reduction right?).
Edit: I also really should have added a "rework" option. |
Thread: Maxim.30 May 2017, 23:35 PM
It's not overshadowed, one of the two is overperforming like crazy (basically doing what the old Maxim did but even better), and the other one is literally worthless. Probably the only MG that does not get stolen because it's just a waste. Definetly an overnerf, does not provide any suppression at all.
I know I haven't stolen a maxim since the patch. |
First off, I don't think those other abilities are ok nor relevant.
Second, M1 is the cheapest AT gun with a shield, and has a much larger firing arc than other ATGs so it's harder to flank and can more often hit its target without repositioning. Offset that with the 20 less pen than pak and it makes sense. It excels vs mediums and has AP rounds to deal with heavies. Now you wanna give it free self spotting and increased range for free. Seriously dude. M1 is fine if you aren't a noob with it
Why the hell does it have to self spot anyway? It should always have rifles in front of it far enough to spot, and on the rare occasion you need it to finish a retreating tank, you pay the muni (what is it, like 20). |
To add to my opinion I also think that paths should get a drastic reinforce decrease or some sort of buff. |
Well, I ve seen bouncing P4s from pretty much everything, T34s (76s) and even Jacksons. And I don't mean a bounce from time to time, I mean regularly. I think the penetration is a big problem of the P4. And I also think it is not supposed to fight enemy heavies.
I mean no offense, but you're probably just used to always attack front armor from all the other stuff axis gets (schrecks, paks, even raketens, panthers, stugs, etc). A medium tank bouncing a shot is pretty normal, especially if it has good anti infantry like the p4. And of course it's not supposed to fight heavies, that's the panther and tiger's job, or even the stug. You don't really see cromwells fighting kts a lot right? I think you are just expecting too much from the p4. |
I'm just curious as to what people's opinion on this commander are. Personally, I love it, but I feel it has a lot of things that make it very hard to play with, and p47s are at the mercy of rngesus and have a tiny radius. I also don't see many other people using it. Thoughts? |
People go leigs because it is hard to counter and will bleed your opponents. Liegs are meta this patch because light vehicles are no longer pushing armies off the map. Mortar pits get hard countered by leigs, so building one ,when you suspect your opponent will make liegs, is a mistake without stand fast. Pak howies and 120s are capable of countering leigs, but only if the other team do not build a walking stukas. There is a reason why everyone is playing axis this patch. Even allied only players, from last patch, are now dominating as axis.
I can go four kubels and then spam jaeger light infantry and win lol. Four kubels is actually insanely good though. |
As DanielD said, you should have numerical strength early since penals arrive a bit later than volks. Once you get your tech down go for some MG34s. They're good at dealing with penal spam.
Penals lack a normal grenade, so mg34s are even more effective against them. |
