You can complain about those things all you want, I never said they were balanced. but winning "fair and square" is subjective when you have 6 SU76s using free barrages to disjoint any and all infantry sources. I could've complained that you used demos, but I was already to blinded about the cheese of the SU76 that will continue to remain in the game. BTW don't ever rely on www.stats.coh2.hu it's outdated like I said and that site doesn't even display suppression for MGs and you claimed the MG42 has higher suppression than the maxim. It doesn't. Maxim sits at 0.017 compared to the MG42s 0.0125. Also it's a jagdpanzer. You also seem to forget the AVRE exists as well as flamethrower heavies like the croc and especially the KV8 which you used. The command panther is only strong when it uses its coordinated fire ability. It has worse veterancy for itself than a standard panther, is more expensive and is doctrinal. Could it receive a nerf? yes but it's not an AT plateform than has a free dislodge of sources that can kill it now is it. |

Capping order: For Kholodney Ferma the right side player should prioritize one of the key garrisons, either the church by the central VP or the house by the northern munitions point. You had your pios cap your southern points which was good, but against factions which don't have to construct a building right from the start like USF or UKF you can lose those garrisons to the starting unit of those factions. I'd send my pioneers to hold the church till my MG42 got to the garrison. This play is more or less a preference of playstyle based on the map. You can just avoid the garrisons if you want to cap and end up losing them. Around 3 or 4 minutes you had an engagement for the northern munitions and for garrison control, you brought your MG42 and won which was good, but your pioneers were capping a standard point when they could've been capping your opponets cutoff. Was a bit greedy and eventually you took his cutoff with wounded grens but you could've cut him off maybe 30 seconds sooner.
Commanders: Mechanized can be used to skip teching and often is used that way inorder to maximize the efficient use of your resources. However using it to callin just the tiger as a reactionary decision is alright, but there are better doctrines for such purposes. Personally I'd remove your blitzkrieg doctrine and replace it with lightning war. Lightning war still contains the stuka close air support which is fantastic AT strafes as well as the Tiger. It also includes the G43 upgrades for grens, pgrens etc as well as tactical movement. Essentially, if you're going to react to your opponets commander choice you should probably utilze a more reactionary commander. Keeping mechanized and mobile defense in your roster is completely fine though, as mechanized allows you to prempt your opponet and mobile defense carries the panic puma and panzer tactician.
Things to improve on: 2 things really stood out for me while watching the replay. 1st your resource float was massive early game. You floated 1000 manpower at one point just prior to your p4 being constructed. You could've built a pak gun when you saw the stuart but hesitated to build it until your p4 was in que as well. Just spend your manpower and be more decisive. Next you should spend your munitions. You were pretty good about this but could improve slightly. Just make sure you have enough for a faust if there's a vehicle on the field and upgrade your grens with LMGs or G43s if you have that commander equipped. Nonupgraded grens won't be able to out trade BAR or 2x BAR rifles. 2nd point was that amount of "fancy" plays you were trying to make it seemed. You lost 3-4 squads because you were trying to juke around to avoid fire from a stuart at the top VP and ultimately gave time for rifles to close in and kill that squad. You exited the incorrect door by your opponets garrison and immediatly lost your entire gren squad to a single stuart shot. Thats more of a miss micro or just bad decision making. Lastly you lost screcked up Pgrens because you sent them in alone against at least 3 or 4 units to take out a wounded stuart. Ultimately lost them because the house collapsed on the last model before it exited or the mortar shell blast wiped out the remaining HP, couldn't tell. Fancy plays are risky and CAN come good occasionally but if you don't need to risk the units then don't take the risk.
Overall, spend your resources, less fancy plays and possible commander change. You did well overall. Squad preservation could've been a bit better, and since you saw rangers you know the pershing was coming. I would've changed out the 2nd p4 for a StuG. And finally don't tech to battlephase 3 unless you know for a fact you're going to get a unit out of there, it's a waste of resources otherwise. |
Will take a look at this now. Any perticular feedback you were looking for? |

American soldiers shoot and killed my grandpas best friend when they approached on of their outpost with white flags, just out of spite. Calling the dropping of not one but two nukes on civilian a "military necessity" is a very cheap excuse and you should be deeply ashamed as a human being to use that argument (to me you are utterly despicable). If you do so go and reevaluate your life choices, you clearly need a lessen in human decency.
Germany did commit atrocious war crimes but you must have your head buried very deep where the sun dont shine if you think that justifies allied war crimes. On the human misery scale all factions were pretty close.
Relic gave these units ominous names so they avoid the controversy that comes with it and we should not go around and make vague connections to try to stir up unneeded discussions. If they wanted to portray the actual Brandenburg division they would have named them that.
American aircraft dropped leaflets with Japanese messages saying to leave Hiroshima or Nagasaki respectivly as well as 33 other cities as a warning to the entire populus of those cities. The Japanese superiors forbid the Japanese populus from reading these notes with threats of treason and execution. Japan also did not surrender prior to the American nuclear bombings OR inbetween the 2. Was it horrendous? yes. But I'd rather 100,000 people die instantly than having 200,000 American soldiers die fighting for every inch of the Japanese mainland. Not even including possible Soviet casualties or other nations. The Japanese also commited perfidy which is the intentional deceit of soldiers to lure into traps. As a reason to why your grandfathers friend was possibly killed. |
Is this matter resolved? Or does the OP still need feedback? |
Yes it took me a few minutes but after you stole the USF mortar early in the game I put it together. Thank you for confirming it though.
So for starters if you see assualt engineers you know he can plant demos and mines so a sweeper is now a must. Once you know he is willing to plant mines as you've detected one or lost units to one I'd recommend 2 squads with sweepers minimum. One of the problems I saw occur was you sent your sweeper to check for demos on the right VP, and there were demos, but you still walked over it and lost your squad. This is probably because your micro is not up to par. When you detect a mine or demo with a sweeper you get a notification on your HUD saying you've detected something. Pressing space will take you to that notification so you can destroy or maneuver around the hazard. If you don't have a sweeper nearby but want to capture a point where you believe there could be a demo, go somewhere in the capping circle away from where you believe he'd plant a demo. Go to the side of the circle closer to his base; he'd plant the demo closer to your base right? And if your don't have a sweeper nearby just stick 1 model in the capping circle, you get all the capping benefits without all the risk. I saw you do this once on the left VP with some Pgrens and only lost 2 models of the 4.
If your opponet is just spamming stuarts get double AT guns and have a gren squad ready for the faust. You got away with 1 AT gun because his micro with the stuarts was rather poor and he dove your base multiple times. The USF player had zero respect for possible mines outside your base and tellers would have crushed him had you planted them. Plant mines, get some AT and get your fausts close.
The USF player early on loved to blob up with his rifles and push you off while his assualt engineers ran around and planted demos. MG42s crush blobs. You had an MG42 but lost it to one of his pushes You eventually rebuilt it after about 10 minutes but if your opponet is constantly blobbing like that I'd make that my priority.
If you're ever being pushed off the map like you were this match try and limit your focus to see what needs to be done. First, he was planting demos, get some sweepers moving to one side of the map and your army behind it. Grens, paks, your stolen USF mortar, MG42s, everything. Slowly regain territory until you force an engagement and since you have all the proper tools for an engagement you should be well prepared and with a little bit of luck you can force his retreats. Once he retreats then you go for the aggressive decaps, cutoffs and aggressive sweeping for mines and demos.
Overall I'm amazed that USF player threw that one away so hard. Questionable plays yourself, but he had even larger questionable plays which ultimately lost him the game.
Hope this helped and if you have any further questions I'm happy to answer. |
Will take a look at the replay and give advice after done viewing. For future posts though make sure if your steam name is not the same as your Coh2.org name to post who you are in the match. From your posts i'm going to guess you're USF, but i have no certainty. |
Largest problem here seemed to be map control. You lacked the right side of the map almost the entire game and occasionally lost the left. Both munitions points lost as well as the eventual caches lead to an extremely large munitions income and the spamming of arty cover. As for the comets, they're to good at what they do for their price. Everyone knows that and that will be addressed in the future hopefully. For now, plant some mines, more AT guns and veto that map. Minsk pocket in my opinion is just to open and so many flanking routes. |
