I can't expect everyone to want this map back - it's very niche and different from what people are comfortable with.
However, outside of the cutoffs (which have been removed) and the number of indestructible ruins (which has been reduced), is there another reason why you don't like it? At this point, any feedback is worth a lot!
As I recall it had a lot of obstacles which would interfere with scatter in tank engagements. I had one perticular match in which the obstacles getting in the way caused me to go from pushing my opponets base with outnumbering forces to losing the entire game. There were other factors in there like pen/armor and main gun crits, but what allowed those to occur was the fact I couldn't connect a single shell because the shell always missed and collided with debris. |

It´s not about 4 men vs. 6 men survivability. On paper the 6 men squad is obviously more durable.
But that doesn´t really matter in COH2 because Cons and Grens dont fight the same units. (This wasnt about Penals or Guards, or Panzerfüsiliers)
Cons have 6 men but they also face infantry that can actually wipe them on retreat with LMG42 bursts or high accuracy mobile G43s. Cons completly suck at wiping retreating Grens. Cons also face Pzgren bundle nades, Gren rifle nades, Ostheer mortar, Panzerwerfer, Brummbär etc. Meanwhile all the things that used to make Grens so squishy got nerfed. Penal moving accuracy, UKF brens, all mortars, rocket arty, LVs, tank crush etc.
I am pretty sure that in your average game of COH2 Grenadiers will not get wiped more frequently than Conscripts at this point of COH2 balance. If you watch any COH2 games with open eyes you will notice the same.
Cons lack a weapon upgrade non doctrinally yes. PPSH cons on the other hand demolish LMG42 grens even if they charge from max range through neutral cover without oorah. Then factor in things like oorah and you get...... balance in all things.... Grens face guard grenades, satchels and molotovs, HM-38s, katys, and all matters of allied explosives that range from a zis barrage to the priest. The point is, explosive and ballistic damage don't care about your models RA, which is where grens defence over cons is which makes them squishier.
As a squad Cons have more durability, but each model is 80hp, a mortar hit on a bunched 6men squad or 4men squad is the same.
Again, we are talking about if Gren are glass canon or not.

If they wanted to excite the fanbase and bring more people in they could literally make a 25 second trailer with the theme of coh3 for 20 seconds, and the last 5 just being the title "Company of Heroes 3". |
OSt is build around crutch MG42 because of glass-cannon gren. My solution: Switch MG42 to OKW (but reduce supression to MG34 level and change price to MG34-level, but give slight increase too damage), give OST MG34 with old MG42 stats/price except nerf supression but therefore give Gren timed supression ability at Vet1 (like Obers but without limit to 1 targeted squad, Medikits only for Pioneers). This would also have the bonus of faction uniqueness + historical accuracy (Ending ahistorical nuisances like late game German army(OKW) using the older MG34, the MG34 being cheaper than the mass-produced/more economical MG42 )
This basically says, make the MG42 an MG34 except with vickers damage. Just so many issues with this. Ostheer doesn't need damage, they need suppression.
And then make the MG34 with MG42 stats but lower the suppression.....
Then, give gren suppression abilities which would reinforce gren spam.......

You need to use your sturm starter and volks to ALWAYS apply pressure to USF. If you lose your grip on USF for to long they will dumpster you lategame. Spam volks and better inf if you have the doc. HMGs to back up your volks and ISGs for smoke. Never try and fight upgraded USF inf 1v1 with volks. |
Elite is a thing, it just doesn't do much. IIRC all it allows them to do is fire lmgs on the move. (Obers, commandos, paratroopers? I think those are the only ones.)
sturmpioneers do as well believe it or not. Also maybe Pgrens but I don't remember. |

I have no idea how to get OKW to function in 1v1 anymore, but from what I see in tournies and top players, you need to be aggressive with your sturms early, especially vs USF since they start with a sizeable disadvantage. A light vehicle is required a lot of the time to help your volks through mid game. raks are always near your light, and don't try and fight upgraded allied infantry 1v1 with volks unless its con ppshs at max range. |
